Sowing to the Spirit

Sowing to the Spirit deals with man’s relation to the power of the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. As a matter of fact sowing to the Spirit comes when you place your faith in what Christ did for you personally at Calvary and what Christ is doing for you (now) present tense from the Throneroom. When you sow to the Spirit you are doing the will of God in your personal life. When you sow to the Spirit you realize you have been liberated from the bondage of dead works or trying to do something to obtain favor from God. Your heart is cleansed from sin because of Christ. You are born of the Spirit because of Christ. You are Justified by the Grace of God because of Christ. You live and act like a child of God and not a child of the Devil because Christ changed you morally. You sow spiritual things because Christ is the Head of your life. You believe, you obey, and you accept Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour. You sow to the Spirit because Christ took over your life. You walk with Christ every moment of your existence on this side of Heaven. You recognize Christ’s Holy presence in the Throneroom. You remember what you used to be before Christ came in. You realize what Christ made you by His authority and His power from the Gospel. Your faith allows you to sow to the Spirit. This is why you reap spiritual things and eternal things.

As a servant to Christ you offer your body as a living sacrifice like Christ offered His. While sowing to the Spirit…what you do and desire to do is right and acceptable in the eyes of God. When you sow to the Spirit of God you are sold out to Christ. God owns you body, soul, Spirit. You are bought for a price. You will reap Spirtual things. A man that sows to the Spirit will never reap corruptible things because he doesn’t sow to the flesh. Things reaped from sowing to the Spirit are spiritual and Eternal things. Glory! I get happy thinking and writing about sowing to the Spirit. I’m glad that God showed me that Grace is a greater spiritual blessing than the Law of Moses. Why? So that the blessing of the Spirit could come upon the Gentiles. I’m glad Jewish men carried this Gospel about the death, burial and resurrection of Christ into the Gentile world. They sowed to the Spirit and because of that we have a New Testament of the Bible! They reaped spiritual things and so do we! They taught people how God’s Grace that flowed from Calvary and blessed the Gentiles with the Holy Spirit. They sowed to the Spirit! Glory! Let us all sow to the Spirit as servants to Christ. Here is the basis of my faith before I wrote this blog.

The Blessing before Law was given…Gal 3:6-8…Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.

The greater blessing than the Law given on Mt. Sinai…Gal 3:13-14…Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Old Testament promise of “thy seed Christ” who will bless all nations…Gen 22:17-18…That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;

Sowing to the Spirit is scattering this truth about Christ around the globe. Isn’t it beautiful? Preaching and teaching about Christ…what He did and what He’s doing now in the Throneroom. Sowing to the Spirit! Glory! On the Internet! For the cause of Christ! Sowing to the Spirit! Revival? Let’s sow to to the Spirit. Spiritual things will be reaped.

One Response to Sowing to the Spirit

  1. ptl2010 says:

    Sowing to the Spirit reminds me of Ephesians 5 where we are told to abstain from certain sins and then walk as children of light.with no fellowship with unfruitful works of darkness. We are told to walk circumspectly, redeeming the time, understanding the will of God, be filled with the Spirit, speaking to ourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in our hearts to the Lord, giving thanks for all things, submitting to one another in the fear of God, loving each other. It takes the strength of the Lord to do those things… we achieve them one step at a time with the joy of the Lord which is our strength.
