This is Memorial Day weekend in the United States. Memorial Day marks the traditional start of summer! School is out, swimming pools are open, vacations are on the horizon, BBQs abound. These are good things in the grand scheme of human existence.
But let’s look at the real meaning of Memorial Day in a pictorial review. There are a number of pictures in this review, so they may take a little while to load. It will be well worth the wait. (Some of these images will be quite disturbing)

Art…… This was a lot of work! Thank you for the trouble to remind us. Being of all those generation (perhaps the exception the Civil War) I recall them vividly. thank you.
Milt, I remember all too vividly most of these things as well. We need these reminders, unfortunately. Thanks for your comment.

Freedom is not free!
Thank you brother Art for sharing in such graphic terms the reminders of the past and the path of freedom.
May freedom live in America and those who live cherish their heritage
Fight for it and live it.
May the peoples of the USA. never shut out the Father of freeedom from their land
For over two thousand years ago, He gave His Son Jesus Christ to die that all may live
In freedom from sin and the grave for evermore.
It is this hope beyond the grave that we have in earthen vessels that call us to
freedom from self and the bondage of sin
To live lives of peace and freedom to a world that is lost and dying in sin.
May all who read these words, know the real freedom that comes from within
Lives lost in the love of Jesus to set men free from sin and self
To give love as only He could give through us to one another.
May the Lord Jesus be given preeminence in the hearts and lives of all Christians today. those who call Him Lord and must show the Way.
Let freedom reign in our hearts,
And the cry of freedom from all around the world resound
Send the Light of freedom from shore to shore
We need and want freedom!
In the USA and everywhere around
In the heart and life of everyone.
Even so come Lord Jesus to free men from the fetters of sin
And then to rule us with Your peace this world can never give or afford.
Amen.
Thank you, Sister PLT! May freedom ring throughout all of God’s creation.
Shalom, Art
