Listen to this song and think how the Lord loves us, people made in His image, fallen and yet He loves us enough to remake us once again to be in His image, to be vessels of honor to His Name.
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Genesis 1:27
Man, when he was made, was to be dedicated and devoted to Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Man was made in God’s image, and after His likeness in his nature ( not that of His body, as God has not a body), that of His soul and spirit, an intelligent, immortal spirit, an active spirit.
In His place and authority, God said “Let us make man in Our image, and let him have dominion.” As man has the dominion of the inferior creatures, he became God’s representative on earth.
God’s image upon man is in knowledge, righteousness, and true holiness, Eph 4:24; Col 3:10. Adam was made upright, Ecclesiastes 7:29. It was natural for him to conform to the whole will of God. His understanding saw divine things clearly, and there were no errors in his knowledge: his will complied readily and universally with the will of God; without reluctance: his affections were all regular, and he had no inordinate appetites or passions: his thoughts had no vanity or disobedience in them. All the inferior powers were subject to the dictates of Adam. Thus holy, thus happy, were our first parents, in having the image of God upon them when they were first created.
This only have I found: God made mankind upright, but men have gone in search of many schemes.” Ecclesiastes 7:29 .
How art thou fallen, O son of the morning? How is this image of God upon man defaced! How small are the remains of it, and how great the ruins of it!
The Lord said to man, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth – He gave them, a large inheritance, to be the collector of His praises on earth, and after that, to be a probationer for a better state.
Pronouncing a blessing upon them, their children should extend to the utmost corners of the earth, and continue to the utmost period of time. Man was given dominion over the inferior creatures, the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air. Though man provides for neither, he has power over both, much more over every living thing that moves upon the earth.
God designed to put honour once again upon man after he had fallen into sin and gave His only begotten Son to redeem man from the curse of sin. Man is obliged then to bring honour to his Maker, Saviour and Lord.
How are we responding? in honor or dishonor? to Him? to ourselves? to the environment and the creatures which the Lord has given us dominion over?
The Lord loves us and He wants to re-mould us into His image. He wants us with all our weaknesses, our frailties, our dependence on Him – yes He wants to perfect us into His image again. Will we let Him accomplish His plan in our lives, or will we persist in our own plans, which bring us to grief?
Ours is the choice to our end.

We are reminded -
For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ. It is only by the grace and mercy of God that we are remodelled.
