I’m sure you’re familiar with that military term. So, I’ll safely assume you know what’s not right on that title. But I meant it.
As God‘s children, we are in the reality of a battle. Provided that we have everything we need (God’s word, salvation, renewed life and mind, godly behavior, etc.) does not mean the battle is heading to win (though it should be the right start). Most of the times, we retreat and step backward in life’s challenges because of failures.
We devise our own solutions instead of trusting Him. We get tired of trying and we finally found out that it won’t work as long as we don’t surrender to the Lord everything.
Whatever you are into now, God knows your situation. In Proverbs 15:3, it says, ”The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good”. He exactly wants us to rely on Him and not on our own ways, thoughts and abilities. Remember in your heart that God is not insensitive to our needs. If you are currently praying on something and God’s answer is silence, it might be that you’re praying on a wrong thing or He is speaking to you to wait a bit more. Surrender it to Him. His responses are always for our best (Jeremiah 29:11) and even in times that we do not understand why unexpected circumstances happen, He is at work in our lives (Romans 8:28).
When we learn to surrender everything, it makes God’s power to shine without limit and without being messed up by our own permissive wills. God doesn’t ask us to retreat, instead He encouraged us to fight a good fight of faith (1 Timothy 6:12) but He never said that we do it alone, He is there. He will fight for us (Exodus 14:14). Don’t hesitate to surrender your worries, burdens, dreams, and goals to Him. We are in His hands, and rest assured, there’s no other place where we can safely stay best (Deuteronomy 31:6).
On a last note, He doesn’t need our partial surrenders. He’s waiting for the TOTAL surrender. As the song ”Trust His Heart” goes,
”God is too wise to be mistaken
God is too good to be unkind
So when you don’t understand
When you don’t see His plan
When you can’t trace His hand
Trust His heart”
Stop holding back. Lay everything in His will and you’ll see His wonders.
P.S. You are reading my first post in Christian Blessings. I owe everything to God as He continually arms me with grace and strength to post. You can see that update here.
