One of my favorite choruses that remind me that I belong to Jesus is
Only to be what He wants me to be
Every moment of every day
Yielded completely to Jesus alone
Every step of this pilgrim way
Just to be clay in the Potter’s hand
Ready to do just what His Word commands
Only to be what He wants me to be
Every moment of every day.
The application of that chorus has been
Just Your way, not mine dear Lord
Your scope not mine to do
For more of me and less of You
Will make me proud
While more of You and less of me
Will make You proud.
The more of me will expose me unguarded
And throw me into the target limelight of the enemy
The more of You will ensure that I am secure in Your plan
Lord help me to be courageously and wisely
Only what You want me to be
Every step of this pilgrim way.
When tempted to be like others
Remind me O Lord, that I want to be only like You
So take me, mould me into Your image and use me I pray
That I may Your blessing be as You are to me,
To those who are hurting, yearning for peace with You
And to those You lead who truly need Your love today.

Amen, only like Jesus. Thanks for a wonderful word of encouragement.

That would be wonderful but remains a dream till He comes, Ms granbee. Blessings till that day.
To be what HE wants me to be–Here I am, Lord: use me! Imagine if only 1/20th of the folks on earth were to stand each in their own “places” with this prayer–what a tsunami of peace and love and goodwill THAT would trigger!
