How Does God See Us?

How does God see us, what does He see when He looks at us? God sees the real us, the inside, the part that matters. 1 Samuel 16:7 But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.” In today’s world of looks being everything, isn’t it refreshing to know that our Lord sees us for who we are and not what we look like?

How about our hearts? Since God sees into our hearts, He sees our essence, what is completely true and real. God sees everything in us; there is no hiding anything from Him. Psalm 139:1-3  O LORD, you have searched me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. If we know the Lord this is a comforting thought. Our Father in heaven knows everything about us, and loves us even so!

No matter the things we have done in the past, the Father sees us as (Romans 3:21-22) righteous. Because of the blood of Christ shed for us at Calvary, we have forgiveness of sin. So also through the obedience of Jesus to the Father, we are made righteous. Our sins are removed from us, (Psalm 103:12) as far as the East is from the West.

Since we know that God sees all that is within us, we cannot fool Him; it would be useless to try. Yet even though He sees us in all our fallibility, He loves us with an everlasting love. Why not go to Him in prayer, confess any known sins, and then ask the Lord to reveal any unknown sins to you that you may confess them as well and receive forgiveness. Un-confessed sin is a large impediment to our walk with Christ.

God has plans for you! Plans to prosper you and give you a good life. No, this does not mean you will get all you desire! Better than that, you will experience life the way God intended for you to. God can “see” this as well, because God knows what your potential in life is better than you do.

Give yourself to Christ today, and “see” what God will do in your life! Or maybe you need to rededicate your life to Jesus and get back to living for Christ. We will all answer to the Lord at the end of days, I pray we would all answer the call of Christ in our lives. Taste and see that God is good!

A prodigal for many years, I eventually found my way back to Jesus through several difficult trials. I write with the hope that I can bless others who have struggled as I have. I seek through Christ to present the truth, and lead others to the cross of Calvary. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. There is no other. Welcome writinggomer to ChristianBlessings with this your first blog here.

It is so important to have true hearts in God’s sight in order to serve Him and love Him. May we always ask the Lord to search our hearts to see if there be any wicked way as King David, the man after God’s own heart did in Psalm 139, for if we regard iniquity in our hearts the Lord will not hear us when we pray .

23Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.
24See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Praise the Lord He cleanses us if we ask Him to.
