These are some definitions of Biblical principle words that I have defined for myself and thought I might share.
What is salvation? It is the FREE gift of God to man, that costs Him everything.
What is peace? It is the fruit of the Spirit that we must battle daily to maintain.
What is ‘the rest’ of God? It is what we work very hard to attain.
What is love? It is a quality decision we make, regardless of our hateful feelings.
What is humility? It is having complete confidence and assurance that we do not know everything.
What is patience? It is remaining fixed and focused on Him, when all hell breaks loose around us.
What is joy? Joy is not birthed in what we have, but in what we know.
What is kindness? It is treating all with honor and respect, regardless of their deserving such treatment.
What is goodness? It is the ‘exhausting and wearing out’ of our natural and selfish nature.
What is gentleness? It is the refraining of using or wielding power in a harmful or spiteful fashion.
What is faithfulness? A relief in knowing that one can be counted upon to fulfill a duty or responsibility, without question.
What is temperance? It is the ability to say ‘no’ when the body, mind and soul are screaming for a ‘yes’.
What is conviction? It is the argument of God against our own weaknesses and inadequacies.
What is condemnation? It is the argument of Satan against our ability in Christ.
