Sunday morning time for church.
Are eyes still half closed when we arrive in church?
Then is it snooze time in church?
Do we go to church to worship or pretend?

The Psalmist encourages us to “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.” Psalm 100:4.
Have we have entered into His gates with a complaint on our lips?
Are we ready to worship Him?

If we have not praised and worshipped during the service, how can we accept His benediction?
You have not met with Him today.

If you are not ready to receive His benediction and have missed the message too, then you are not ready to leave His house.
You came for a purpose and should stay till you fulfill that purpose.
How about it?
Stay a little longer to meet with Him and be blessed, and then go out to be a blessing for Him.
YOU MUST BE READY TO TAKE ON THE WORLD ON MONDAY

In the USA Southern Bible Belt, all “nice” people go to church. People do not wish to “trade” with business people who do not go to church. The unchurched are gossipped about and resentfully proselytized. I appreciate your post here today to remind us that going to church is for the purpose of communally joining together to praise God. Our minister yesterday dismissed each group from the altar rail after they received Holy Communion with this injunction, “Go and spend the day with Jesus.” Wonderful! You have done the same with this post! Thank you.
Think of all the planning that goes into the Super Bowl with so much enthusiasm. Companies pay millions to advertise on television and people spend tons of money for food and parties. I often wonder why there is not as much excitement each Sunday at church or this much enthusiasm about reading God’s word. The thing about a football game is that one side wins and one side loses. The great thing about going to church or studying God’s Word is that everyone wins.
Thank you for visiting and commenting Mark.Yes provided people are awake to listen at church, everyone wins. That is the sad part, so many dress so well, look so well but only the Holy Spirit knows who are ready to receive the blessings of the Lord at church..still He knocks…and whosoever opens the door that is whom He enters in and sups with and these go away from church with a heart of thanksgiving and praise to live another week for Him. Others unfortunately go out the same defeated or just nominal without any change or meeting with the Lord- it becomes a farce.
Amen, church is a time of worship, a time of instruction, a time of fortification, a time of fellowship, and a time of love.
Yes it is family time to be savoured and enjoyed in the Presence of God.
