To list all the Names and the attributes of the triune God would be an impossibility, but we all have our favourites . . . I think it highly likely that SAVIOUR and REDEEMER are two favourite names and I personally rejoice in “FATHER”. Love, mercy and forgiveness are possibly favourite attributes.
Miguel de Cervantes said:
Among the attributes of God, although they are all equal,
MERCY shines with even more brilliance than justice.
Two of my favourite words in Scripture are “But God”. They appear many times, but my ‘best’ favourite is in Ephesians chapter 2 -
“But God, who is rich in mercy” Ephesians 2:4
In the first verses of Ephesians 2, we meet ourselves ‘before Christ’.
We were DEAD in sins.
We were carried along in the current of the world’s influences,
as a dead fish in a stream, with NO ability to resist.
We were ‘children of wrath’ under the control of the devil.
We were guilty, condemned, without excuse, hopeless!
BUT GOD!
How those two little words change the picture!
BUT GOD, who is RICH IN MERCY . . .
BUT GOD
because of His great love for us, made us ALIVE in Christ,
and made us ‘sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus’
When we accepted His gift of salvation through Christ, God adopted us into His own family as His own blood-bought children and equipped us with EVERYTHING necessary to live a life of victory in Christ. His is an ongoing work with a guaranteed result, and we experience His love and mercy as He continues His work in us.
One of His numerous blessings is being part of His family here on earth. This is mostly in our local Church and community, but the bonds extend much further, and through the world wide web we meet brothers and sisters in the Lord from around the world and encourage and pray for one another.
CHRISTIAN BLESSINGS is a family, a part of that wider family, where various authors with diverse backgrounds encourage one another and together seek to exalt the Lord Jesus. Our desire and prayer is that others may come to know Him as Lord and Saviour and as the answer to each and every problem.
As Christian Blessings celebrates two years of ministry, I praise God for the way He has used the dedication of its administrator to bring numerous blessings to its readers and help and encouragement to the contributing authors. I know the Lord will continue to bless her and continue to use her and her abilities to exalt the Lord Jesus and bring His Word to all who read.
THE PRAISE IS TO OUR AMAZING TRIUNE GOD
but I express my thanks for her dedication over the last two years,
and that of my fellow authors.
We are one in the body of Christ.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who, according to His abundant MERCY
has begotten us again to a living hope
through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled,
and that does not fade away,
reserved in heaven
for you who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation.
[1 Peter 1:3-5]

May the Lord continue to be exalted and honored throughout the years to come at CB. May the Lord continue to bless you Angela, for your wonderful contributions to the ministry and to your own blog as well. To God be the glory.
Thank you Rob. It is such a privilege to be a coworker together with God [2 Cor 6:1] and to be lead by Him in our activities here. It is also a privilege to be part of a team here at CB, working and sharing together in ministry. Won’t it be a wonderful experience when we meet together in eternity? We are one day closer!
What an amazing God!
“for you who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation.” – Hallelujah! we have indeed been kept by His power. We are alive because He keeps us alive and not one minute more after we have fulfilled His purpose for our lives. What a thought.. in your words Cloudwatcher, we are one day closer! Praise the Lord. Faith children kept by His power – His very own!
Praise the Lord indeed for He alone is worthy.
What an amazing God!
Cloudwatcher, I have always loved the words “But God” because they are so comforting to me. Thank you for refreshing my mind with this today.
Blessings,
~Anna
Anna, the words “But God” quickly change the gloomiest time to the brightest time, for a child of God, because we KNOW the mind and heart of God. We KNOW that no matter what is happening, He will undertake for us and will use the experience to “grow” us.
We serve an amazing God whose desire is ALWAYS for our best.
