Beauty From Pain

Everyone has suffered from life’s trials at one time or another. It seems to be an unfortunate fact of life. Loved ones leave us behind. Families break apart, friendships end. The stories of abuse people have suffered seem endless. This world is filled with strife and loss.

We as Christians however have what the world has not…Jesus.

In Him…we have the promise of healing. It may not all happen here…but it will be fulfilled and completed in our true home. These things we suffer while here…God will use if we choose to allow it. There can be beauty from pain.

Christ Himself suffered enormously. The result of His suffering and pain…is the greatest gift ever given. People talk of inner beauty, have you ever seen inner beauty comparable to that of Christ? As God’s own pain can be turned to strength and beauty…ours can as well.

Through the things we have suffered, we can learn an appreciation for what others have experienced. We can love them and help them more then we could have otherwise. Remember Jesus suffered what we do in life…and then so much more. This makes Him uniquely qualified to understand us.

When we hurt, when we suffer…He is there with us. We should never give up hope…hope lives within us and for us. Hope can bring healing from pain. Hope can bring beauty from pain. Hope is Jesus…ask for His help…He awaits your call. From the ashes of our regret can new life spring. From the depths of our pain is born a loving concern for others. We are given an opportunity to serve others that is so important. To be able to give of ourselves for the good of another through our own pain…is a blessing indeed.

As we have suffered, we begin to understand a little better Christ’s suffering for us. We move closer to Him. A deep and abiding love for Jesus grows stronger within us. We do not choose to suffer…Jesus did choose to suffer for us. This is amazing love, love we can’t understand…but we know we have. Let us then extend our love to others in need…He did for us.

About πίστις

A prodigal for many years, I eventually found my way back to Jesus through several difficult trials. I write with the hope that I can bless others who have struggled as I have. I seek through Christ to present the truth, and lead others to the cross of Calvary. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. There is no other. 1. Hindsight is sometimes a wonderful thing. We can look back on past pain and thank God for it because He used it as an opportunity to “grow” us, to teach us, to draw us closer to Himself.

Amen.. Beautiful encouragement writinggomer. Praise the Lord. Without pain we could be stunted people but with pain, beautiful.

Thank you. :) No pain no gain has it’s meaning in the Believer’s world as well. Without at least some of the pain I have endured, I believe I may not have met my Lord and Savior. Through pain and suffering I came back to Him.
      We serve an amazing God!
