There is not one true Christian who would refuse to pray for you–to walk into the throne-room of God and request deliverance on your behalf. Depression, fear, worry, doubt, anguish, terror, and so forth have no place in your life. Sorrow is just for the night and joy comes in the morning.
If you are feeling overwhelmed with the battle [of trouble] you face right now reach out. Do not face it alone. The body of Christ is a body of believers who are poised and ready to fight [in prayer] for you. Brothers, sisters, mothers, and fathers [in spirit] connected to [in] Christ Jesus. No matter how many miles are between us, we are all connected forever.
Our weapons are not carnal. We don’t fight flesh and bone. Ephesians 6:12 12This is not a wrestling match against a human opponent. We are wrestling with rulers, authorities, the powers who govern this world of darkness, and spiritual forces that control evil in the heavenly world.
Believe me, this is a real battle. It’s not mind, brain matter [psychological, physiological or emotional], or experiences. It is spiritual!
The closer you get to understanding [the extent of] what we have in Christ and [the extent of] what we are freed from, the more the enemy is poised and ready to snatch it away from you. Satan would love to take away your freedom in Christ.
You will need this army when you face spiritual warfare.
Luke 24:47 Scripture also says that by the authority of Jesus people must be told to turn to God and change the way they think and act so that their sins will be forgiven. This must be told to people from all nations, beginning in the city of Jerusalem.
Psalm 46:11 The Lord of Armies is with us. The God of Jacob is our stronghold.
Psalm 94:22 The Lord has become my stronghold. My God has become my rock of refuge.
2. Connect up if possible. No matter where you live there is someone the Lord has placed in your life who will pray for you. Many of us pray for family in Christ who we have not yet met. Jesus already prayed for you.
John 17:20-21 “I’m not praying only for them. I’m also praying for those who will believe in me through their message. 21I pray that all of these people continue to have unity in the way that you, Father, are in me and I am in you. I pray that they may be united with us so that the world will believe that you have sent me.
3. Speak up. Ask others for prayer. Pray in the spirit– if you can’t think of what to say God will hear you even in your anguish.
Psalm 12:5 “Because oppressed people are robbed and needy people groan, I will now arise,” says the Lord. “I will provide safety for those who long for it.”
Romans 8:26 At the same time the Spirit also helps us in our weakness, because we don’t know how to pray for what we need. But the Spirit intercedes along with our groans that cannot be expressed in words.
4. Don’t allow the enemy to invade your thoughts. If you’re having thoughts that go against the promises of God, they are not coming from God.
Ephesians 6:18Pray in the Spirit in every situation. Use every kind of prayer and request there is. For the same reason be alert. Use every kind of effort and make every kind of request for all of God’s people.
5. Praise God and thank him in advance for the answers. Pray also for me–that the words I write will be according to His will and for His glory and that the enemy takes no place in my life. As much as possible, in your anguish, let God know you are grateful to him. I will be [faithfully] praying for you who are reading this now.
Philippians 4:6 Never worry about anything. But in every situation let God know what you need in prayers and requests while giving thanks.
