Have you seen and heard them? I have.
They use the name of Jesus but draw everyone to themselves
They speak of the things they have done wondrously, not Jesus
Compare what Jesus said He would do.
Jesus said
“And when I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw everyone to myself.”
John 12:32
In the days ahead there will be many more who will be drawing everyone to themselves under the pretext of preaching the gospel.
”Watch out that no one deceives you.”
Mark 13:5
”When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am [the one I claim to be] and that I do nothing on my own but speak just what the Father has taught me.
John 8:28
Response : Father it is my desire to preach Your Word and to bring people to You. Please help me to be aware when my old self creeps up and tries to steal the thunder from You. I must not and will not yield to temptation, and I must not steal the glory from You for I know You will not share Your glory with any other. Keep me truly Yours, and protect me from vainglory, remaining as Your servant. Help me not be the boss for You are the boss. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
