One Flock, Many Folds. Follow the Good Shepherd.

We’ve all been involved in discussions about the multitude of Christian church denominations. These differences lead to great disputes between denominations and among individual Christians. Those who are not believers or are unchurched watch our bickering and shake their heads. Far too often we expend greater effort defending our particular point of view than we do spreading the Good News.

Is this as Jesus would have it?

Most are familiar with the Parable of the Good Shepherd in the Gospel of John. Jesus, of course, is the Good Shepherd.

In ancient times, as it is today, one person could own many sheep that were kept in different places. Each place would have its own sheepfold. Yet, there was only one owner.

So, focus on the TRUTH, the WORD. Overlook what, in the grand scheme of things, are petty differences.

Follow the Good Shepherd. He, and only He, is the Way to the Father.

Shalom,
Art
