Last night, as I was talking to my granddaughters, I got some really heart warming news.
Each time I talk with them, I get the same “knock-knock” jokes followed by the giggles and laughter only very young girls can give. Last night, I decided to give a couple of jokes back to the 4 year old:
“Why did the chicken cross the playground?”
“To get to the other slide.”
It got a roar of laughter. “Oh, that’s funny grandpa. That’s good. That’s really COOL.”
Then, to her dad in the background: “Dad, why did the chicken cross the playground? … Isn’t that COOL?”
I’ve learned that it is a very good thing to be “cool” to Princess Lauren.
Then, back to me: “You’re cool grandpa.”
Wow, grandpa is cool! That’s really… neat!
Life is so good. We see it in the smallest things…
Yes, grandpa is cool. Just how neat is that?
Grand kids are truly God’s blessing.
