Tribulation Saints…after the Rapture of the Church takes place

This study relates to how people find Christ after the Rapture of the Church takes place…during the seven year Tribulation period. Yes, People are saved and sanctified during the Tribulation as the fire from Heaven purifies the hearts of men and renovates the Earth with fervent heat. God’s restoration with sanctification by fire takes place after the Tribulation…in the promised Kingdom of Christ.

• Mal 3:2-3…for he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap: And he shall sit as a refiner and purifer of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.

• 2 Peter 3:10…But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Those saints after the Church is taken out can be described as, “Tribulation Saints.” The primary focus of this study is in regards to the second… 3 ½ year time frame of the seven year Jewish Tribulation that takes place after the Church is caught up to Heaven. This second part of the Tribulation refers to the “Beast Kingdom” or “a Gentile aggression against Israel that will be more clearly defined in this study.” Right division of God’s Word is more than a distinction between Law and Grace, and the Old and New Covenants. Right division gets down to a distinction between the Church and Israel and; the Jew and Gentile. By understanding such teaching…it helps anyone to see the truth about John’s book of the Revelation of Christ…that focus’ primarily on the Jewish Tribulation.

• Rev 5:9-10… And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

The Beast Kingdom revealed in many prophecies by the Prophet Daniel and; by John the Revelator relates to the oppression of Israel under the reign of a massive Gentile dictatorship. This Gentile aggression spoken of in Revelation and Daniel is likened to past Gentile captivities of Israel which include the…Medo-Persian, Grecian, Babylonian, and Roman dictatorships over Israel. The magnitude of the Beast taught in John’s Revelation… is much greater than any other Gentile aggression against Israel in the history of humanity. This particular aggression against Israel is a Gentile aggression prophetically described under the reign of Satan during the seven year Jewish Tribulation period. This Gentile aggression was prophesied in the Old Testament to come upon Israel.

• Rev 13:1…I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

According Daniel’s 70th week prophecy a covenant is first made between Israel and the Anti-Christ. In the first half of the seven year Tribulation Israel makes an alliance with the Anti-Christ and confirms the covenant in the Seventieth week of Daniel (which means seven years).

• Dan 9:27… And he (Anti-Christ) shall confirm the covenant with many for one week (7 years):

In the second half of the Tribulation it becomes the Great Tribulation and Israel breaks their 3 ½ year alliance with the Anti-Christ.

• Daniel 9:27…and in the midst of the week he (Anti-Christ) shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease,

At this time the Gentile aggression against Israel “rises up” and “gathers together against Israel to make war”. At the final stage of the second half of this Jewish Tribulation “all nations” will gather at a place called Armageddon. At that time Christ and all His saints will step down to the Mount of Olives in Divine Judgment to establish the promised Kingdom on Earth. Before this great and terrible day…note in Revelation how John states that the Dragon (Satan) gives power to the Beast as the Gentile Kingdom will continue 42 weeks longer…

• Rev 13:4-5…And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

The beast was given power to “continue” for forty two months. Please note a few of the events that took place during the first forty two months of Jewish Tribulation. First…there were the seals, then the trumps, then the woes…then the redeemed upon the Earth…144,000. They sang the song of Moses; they kept the commandments, and had faith in Jesus Christ. They had patience for Christ, they trusted God, they halted for Christ, and they gave their lives as they would not receive the mark of the beast. These were, “Tribulation saints.”

• Rev 14:12…Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

This is a part of Israel (during the Tribulation) that knows Christ as Savior also keep His commandments and sings the song of deliverance like the Children of Israel did when God delivered them through the Red Sea.

The Beast being a Gentile World’s aggression against Israel in Satan’s Kingdom… lasts until the end if the seven Year Tribulation. The Bible teaches that the battle of Armageddon that comes at the end of this seven year Tribulation… never takes place. Why? Christ returns (just before the Battle) with His saints first!!!

• Rev 12:17… And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ

• Luke 21:24… and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

At the closing of the seven year Tribulation, the Gentile One World government which is, “The Beast…out of hatred for God’s elect Israel”…gathers together to make war against Christ and His saints.

• Rev 19:19-20…And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

John goes on to say that Judgment is also given to His elect… Israel. At this time… of Christ’s Divine Judgment… John saw “Thrones”.

• Rev 20:4…And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

• Matt 19:28… when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

How is this, the closing of the seven year Tribulation? The beast was cast into the lake of fire.

• Revelation 19:20…These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

A resurrection takes place at that time. These resurrected saints live and reign with Christ for a thousand years.

• Dan 7:22…Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom

• Ezek 37:12-13…Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves,

The thousand year reign of Christ and the bodily resurrection of Tribulation saints begins at the end of the seven year Tribulation.

• Rev 20:6…Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

  1. ptl2010 says:

Pre Trib or Post Trib both based on our partial understanding by human minds. The Lord will surprise with justice in all He does. For certain we know we must be ready. So let us be ready for the Judgement day whenever it occurs, and not be bogged down with human suppositions.

    • Wouldn’t it be nice if all roads led to nirvana. That just didn’t happen to be in God’s plan. Peter tells us that those who don’t get it right concerning the study of end times, “twist the Scriptures as they always do…” 2 Peter 3:16. That’s pretty substantial don’t you think. Why would eschatology have that weight concerning the rest of Scriptures? IMHO it is because of how we view truth. Often the truth hurts and those who do not love the truth, God Himself puts a strong delusion on them… 2 Thess. 2:9-12.

How unfortunate that many would state, “we must be ready” don’t include the concept of tribulation and persecution in their readiness. They tell us that we are to take comfort in the idea that we will escape the tribulation and quote 1 Thess. 4:18. This is, of course, taken out of context…. 1 Thess.4:13 gives us the context that many sorrow because they do not understand that we are resurrected. The Saducees of the day taught that there was no resurrection of the dead, Paul was rectifying this teaching. Jesus tells us that we are assigned to tribulation and tells us to have “peace” and “good cheer” concerning it… John 16:33. We are told to take up our cross daily and follow Jesus. Jesus tells us that those who are not prepared for tribulation and persecution will “immediately stumble” and calls these people “stony soil”… Mark 4:18. Paul tells us that there will be a great “falling away” from the faith before we are gathered together with Him… 2 Thess. 2:1-3.

In the last century China saw a great tribulation hit their country. Prior to this time the pretrib doctrine was widely preached. When the leaders who lived through this time were interviewed, they showed great remorse for ever teaching the doctrine. Rather they wished they had prepared their flocks for persecution and tribulation that is promised in the Word of God… John 16:33, 2 Tim 3:12. the United States is ripe for this same reckoning. History often repeats itself. Have you counted the cost? Do you know about the treasure in the field, or the pearl of great price that Jesus spoke of?

Salvation does not come from repeating a sinners prayer, otherwise Jesus would have had the “rich young ruler” repeat it after Him. Jesus is the author and finisher, and a sinners type prayer was foreign in His doctrine. The rich young ruler went away sorrowful. Why, he believed and receive Jesus, but could not surrender his life to Him. Salvation comes from surrendering your life to God. Have you counted the cost? Are you willing to lay down your life for Him?

The pretrib doctrine is a feel good doctrine that is a study of opinion, assumption, conjecture, and speculation. It is not founded in the Word of God. People believe it because they want it to be the truth. Those who seek the truth can see that each and every point that is made in the doctrine is based upon opinion, assumption, conjecture, and speculation… and not truth. I challenge anyone to PROVE otherwise. The Word of God Itself debates against you.

Thank you for sharing your belief boldncourageous. On ChristianBlessings we allow for discourse, however not to distraction of our purpose and mission. We can agree to disagree on certain aspects 12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.1 Corinthians 13:12 and agree peaceably to disagree.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Truth, the Way and the Life.
He does not lead to nirvana. He has opened the way for us to Heaven where God abides.
We are just a passing through this world and our main Commission from our Lord Jesus Christ is found in the instruction of the resurrected Jesus Christ to his disciples. Mark 16:15,16, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16″He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.” We shall not be distracted from our mission.
Jesus said “If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also. John 14:3 We know He is coming back so let us prepare by and keeping our focus on Jesus Christ and facing our everyday trials and tribulations with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in us to strengthen, give courage and preserve us to the day of Jesus Christ. It is only when we survive today in faith that we shall be glad when He comes. We are to also fulfill Jesus command …”YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND; AND YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.” “DO THIS AND YOU WILL LIVE.”…Luke 10:27,28.

Let us love one another and as we believe in Him and as He reveals Himself to each one of us, so let it be to His honor, praise and glory. Amen.

The Lord is our Light. He is also our just Judge in the day of judgment.

We stand united in Christ – the Author and Finisher of our faith.
        Thank you for your contributions.

  2. Tribulation saints, interesting concept. They cannot be the bride of Christ for the bride is raptured and gone… whisked away. So then who are they if not the bride of Christ? Christ died for His bride, and His bride is one body in Christ Jesus. Yet now we have a different body of believers thanks to the doctrine of the pretrib. The teaching is that these tribulation saints become servants of the bride and that they work of the cross doesn’t apply to them but they must be martyred to pay their own way. If they are servants of the bride then they must be greater than the bride, because Jesus tells us that he who wants to be greatest in the kingdom of heaven must be a servant of all. That being the case it would be more desirable to be a tribulation saint than one of the bride who got raptured. Of course, the problem of what to do with the tribulation saints loose end is just one of the many that the doctrine creates.

The Word of God tells us that we are one body in Christ Jesus. It tells us that the gentile believer has been grafted in, and that the walls of separation between the nationalities have come down… Eph. 2:11-14. Yet the pretrib doctrine works hard to maintain the separation of Israel and the church, and creates a third body of believers called the tribulation saints. This separation is foundational in order to create a separation between the event of the rapture and the second coming. If unity occurs with the body of Christ, then the doctrine that separates the rapture and the second coming also ends making them one. Without the disunity of the body of believers of Jew and gentile, the separation of rapture and second coming fails to exist. Therefore this illusion must continue so that this doctrine can be preached.

Paul tells the bride of Christ how she is to get ready on earth for when Christ returns with all of His saint who have died and risen first… 1 Thess. 3:12:13… READ IT. The righteous acts of the saints is how she makes herself ready….can’t do that in heaven, must do that on earth.

This I know about the Rapture of the Church, “When God’s curtain comes down, Rick Roehm is going up”. Amen.

Comments my Brother are always welcome.

      • That great that you will be there. At least that is your intention. Paul tells us that there will be a great “falling away” or apostasy from the faith prior to our being “gathered together with Him.” I hope you are not in that number. Jesus tells us what the cause of apostasy in Mark 4:17 in the parable of the sower. He calls it “stony soil” it comes from people who have received the Gospel with great joy, but when persecution and tribulation come they immediately stumble. The pretrib doctrine is the GREATEST promoter of this stony soil. Perhaps you will make it. Most who have studied the Word also know that we are assigned to tribulation… John 16:33, however, the attraction to the pretrib view is the ability to escape tribulation and persecution. Perhaps you will be meeting Him in the clouds… what about those you have influence over? Only someone who believed in the pretrib view can mock another, “Where is the promise of His coming?” Everyone else knows that you’ve got to have enough oil in your lamp to go the distance. Pretribers only have enough oil in there lamp to make it to the beginning of troubles.

  3. bethyferg says:

This is a teaching that I am only now starting to understand. Up to now I thought that once christ came in the clouds there was no chance for anyone .

    I find this fascinating.

    • rickroehm says:

There is distinction between the Rapture of the Church and the second coming of Christ with the Church.

The Rapture is the final Judgment of the Church, the body of Christ. The Church is caught up to meet Christ in the air. Christ’s feet never touch planet earth. Saints look forward to the Rapture.

When Christ returns a second time…the Church is with Him (all the Raptured saints). He comes in vengence and flaming fire. He comes to judge Israel and to deliver all of his elect from the Beast, the Anti-Christ and the dominion of satan on Earth. These are Tribulation Saints. These are those who overcame Satan with the word of their testimony and faith in the blood of the Lamb. They did not accept the mark of the Beast. At this time “all” of Israel will accept the Messiahship of Christ. They will inherit the Kingdom promised from the foundation of the world. Christ will be on Earth ruling and reigning on His physical and visible Throne of His father David.

This truth is fascinating! The evidence comes from the Bible. Seeing the difference between the Church and Israel, Law and Grace, The Rapture and the Second coming helps us to…rightly divide the Word of Truth.

Bethy, may the Good Lord enlighten the eyes of your understanding and make you a mouthpiece and witness for His Divine purpose. God Bless.

      • Concerning How Christ declared how he was returning the second time, “Like a thief…” These references refer to the second coming… Rev. 16:15, 2 Pet. 3:10. However, if there were a rapture 7 years prior, the “goodman” of the house would know at what hour to keep watch…Matt. 24:41,42, because the first event would declare the second. That would make Jesus into a liar, in the nature in which He declared how He would come,”Like a thief..” Because the rapture would announce the time in which to keep watch for the second coming (Matt. 24:41,42) then Jesus would have had to make a declaration more in terms of, “A politician in the daytime…” rather than a thief in the night. Jesus is not the liar. The lie is that there is a difference between the rapture and the second coming.

It is true that the pretrib view ALWAYS borrows the element of surprise that God gives the second coming and claims it for the rapture. “Of that day, no man knows the day or the hour…” That day is not talking about a conjured rapture 7 years prior… see the context… it’s talking about the second coming… Matt. 24:35-36 see also verses 29-31.

When Jesus gave the parable of the 10 virgins. The 5 foolish ones were told to depart from me, I never knew you, and they were told to go to hell. Jesus DID NOT tell them that they would get a second chance as “tribulation saints.” The pretrib doctrine is a study of opinion, assumption, conjecture, and speculation. The post-trib doctrine is a study of the Word of God.

  4. ptl2010 says:

So glad the Lord knows what is happening through the pages of time. So glad He is Alpha and Omega the Beginning and the End. Those of us who know Him can rest in Him. All glory to Him.
