Law or Grace?

Did you know that the Grace Covenant began when Christ died on the Cross at Calvary? Many people today don’t realize this great Bible truth.

The Law of Moses was a great blessing for Israel and within it contained 613 commandments, not just 10. The Law said, Thou shall and thou shall not”. The Law taught Israel what to do in order to be holy.

The Grace of God that flows from Calvary does not tell people what to do like the demands of the Law. The Grace of God that flows from Calvary comes to the human soul as a result of what Christ did. Grace is not only the outflow of Calvary but its also the outflow of the power of a resurrected Christ. Yes, my Brothers and Sisters unlike every religion in the world Christ is alive NOW! His Grace “flows” from His Divine presence and His Divine work on the cross at Calvary.

The Law of Moses is great! The Grace of God is greater! The Law of Moses required “works”. The Grace of God requires “faith in Christ”. Faith in Christ brings the power of God’s Grace into the human soul. Grace cleanses the heart from sin and produces the holy life. Law only offered atonement for sins once a year when sacrifice was offered to the priest.

The Law ministered obligation to God. Grace is ministered by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit flows from the cross at Calvary. Divine Grace keeps the Holy Spirit present in our hearts and lives. Our faith is not built on obedience to keep the Law. Our faith is built on what Christ did and what He’s doing right now from the Throneroom.

The blessing of God’s Grace keeps the Holy Spirit present in the heart of a child of God. If you are under Grace you “will” obey God and you “will” mind the Spirit. By doing such you are no longer a criminal or a rebel in the eyes of God. You will keep the the Law of God because you are obedient to God. You have power to obey and live holy. You who are children of God are led by the Spirit of God.

That’s why the power of Divine Grace that flows from the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ is greater than human effort to keep the Law of Moses. After all how many Gentiles around the globe even know what the 613 Law’s and Commandments really are?

The only thing the Grace of God requires is your faith in the fact that Christ was and is God. Faith in Christ brings the power of Divine Grace into the human being. Forgiveness is found! Removal of guilt is found! Salvation is found! The heart is cleansed not by your own works but by the work of Christ.

The Law of Moses was great for Israel! The Grace of God is greater because its for every human being on planet Earth. Jew or Gentile! Christ tore down the wall of partition for just the Jew only under Law. Now Grace is given to every nation, every culture, every race, and every type of human being on planet earth. How?

Through Jesus Christ who is alive right now! The Lord of Lords who will consume every religion on Earth! The King of Kings who will make every knee bow and every tongue confess. The God of our Salvation who provides us with the greatest blessing that ever came upon humanity, “Divine Grace”. Glory! Not what we do but what He does. Glory!

Rom 6:14…For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Titus 2:11-14…For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works

Since 1988 I’ve been writing and doing service for the Lord. It all began in 1987 after a personal walk began with the Lord. This personal walk with the Lord I speak of turned into extensive Bible studies and later evolved into blogging in early 2000. At present I write, author, and publish several different sites on the Internet. My Blogs contain a vast library of Theological writings, teaching videos, and preaching audios that currently go around the globe for the cause of Christ. I write at Christian Blessings on Wordpress, Holy Hubert Lindsey Group on Facebook, Churches on Trial at Google, publish You Tube videos, record sermons at holy.sermon.net, etc. I also pastor a Church called the Upper Room in Williamsburg, Ohio . My secular Blog called Southwestern Ohio Fishing on Wordpress is where I write about experiences with my son and fishing partner Chad where we together enjoy Mother Nature’s beauty mixed with Father God’s creation. At Southwestern Ohio Fishing Blog I also publish favorite recipes for those who enjoy eating and cooking as much as this writer does. Thanks for sharing your time and life with this writer at the Blogs. Here's more access to my ministry and fishing Blog if you'd care to check them out further. My Brother,

Thank you for your comment and link to your Blog. I made a post at your Blog on behalf of the Grace of God that I speak of and live for. The Bible teaches that a child of God has a clean heart, and can live holy (without sin) on this side of Heaven. Christians “don’t have to sin”. Sin is not essential in the life of a Christian. The blood of Jesus cleanses the penitent from all sin…thus after Salvation man has the God given power to do right. Man is given a new nature by the Grace of God. We are new creatures and old things pass away. Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. The new birth is a miracle performed by the Grace of God. I testify to that miracle in this Blog. Not by my own works but by the power of God’s Grace in my heart.

Thanks for stopping by Christian Blessings. We appreciate your fellowship.

Ptl…Christianity (that consists of all members of Christ’s body) are the only spiritual people that experience the saving Grace of God. Christians experience forgiveness as a result of what Christ did. Under law they experienced forgiveness through human works. A Christians faith is in the finished work and person of Christ.

I have been reading the book of Leviticus this past week and I am astonished at the laws that are written down there. To try and keep those laws was always going to be impossible for sinful Man.

You have no Idea How thankful I am for Grace. That a Merciful God who impart Grace to such as I.. WOW.

      Bethy, here’s another tidbit…

The Law was given to Israel to keep them holy.
Grace is given to the Church to keep Christians holy.

Law was human effort that man struggled to keep.
Grace is given to man from God because of what Christ did. No human struggle to have Grace.

Law was based on the blood of animals offered to a Levitical Priest.
Grace is based on the blood of Christ shed at the cross at Calvary.

      The Law demanded good works.
Grace gives a morality to do good works

The Law ministered the letter from the tables of stone that Israel had to obey.
Grace allows the Spirit to minister truth on the tables of our hearts.

My husband is not happy, I am humming “Amazing Grace”, and I humm out of tune.

Nothing thrills my heart as much as the knowledge that Grace covers me.
