Born From Above

The Bible declares that we must be born again to become citizens of the Kingdom of God.  Being a good person does not make us a citizen .. Going to church does not make us a citizen .. Building orphanages and taking care of those that are destitute and in need, does not make us a citizen.  In John 3:3, Jesus told Nicodemus, “I can guarantee this truth: No one can see the kingdom of God without being born from above.”  We are born again when we become born from above.  And how do we become born from above?  When we believe Jesus to be the Son of God and we confess Him as Savior over our life, we are immediately translated from being born of this world and become born anew into His Kingdom.  We are now born from above.  Our spirits become alive and our hearts become changed.  We cannot see the change with our eyes.  Our bodies remain the same.  This is what is called ‘faith’.  We are saved by faith.  Faith is the ability to allow ourselves to believe in something or someone, though our eyes have not seen nor our hands have not touched the something or someone that we are believing.  Faith is given to us by God but it is up to us to maintain and preserve our faith.  Once you have made the decision to come to salvation, (which is the measure of faith given to us by God), your faith is now waiting for you to make the next move(s).  When we are saved, we are placing a demand on the grace of God to transplant us into His Kingdom, which will ignite the faith that God has placed within us.  We are making a conscious choice to believe that Jesus Christ is the Lord and Savior of all the earth.  The Bible says ..
Acts 4:12 No one else can save us. Indeed, we can be saved only by the power of the one named Jesus and not by any other person.”
Romans 4:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.
Romans 6:23 The reward for sin is death, but the gift that God freely gives is everlasting life found in Christ Jesus our Lord.
John 14:6 Jesus answered him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one goes to the Father except through me.
John 3:36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life. Instead, he will see God’s constant anger.”
Romans 10:9 If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,f that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Rick, thanks so much for the information you have provided and would you mind if I used this info? I am scheduled next week (Monday) to lead a Bible study for the ladies at my church. Also, the above blog that I wrote is a small excerpt from a salvation booklet that my Pastor has asked me to work on, for our church. He wants me to write the booklet and then he will get it printed up and handed out to new believers. I would like very much to add the information that you provided here, if that is ok with you? Thanks as always brother! And you are such an encouraging friend to me. Honestly.

Use anything I write for the cause of Christ. There’s liberty in the Spirit, and its always a blessing to fellowship with you and all at Christian Blessings.

BTW Nicodemus was a ruler of the Jews and understood the deliverance of Israel through the Red Sea. This teaching about the Spirit was the comparison that Jesus was making to Nicodemus who came to Him at night because of extreme persecution that would come to those who “accepted” the Messiahship of Christ .

Deliverance from above is the theme of John 3. Both the water and the Spirit point to God’s deliverance from above.

    Dear sister…

In addition to your Blog about the miracle of the new birth…
The word “borne” in the Greek text means to be “delivered”…
To be born from above implies being delivered from above.

God delivered the children of Israel through the Red Sea. Israel was delivered from the bondage of Pharoah…by water. 600, 000 people not including women and children.

Today under the hand of God fallen man can be delivered from sin (born from above) by the Grace of God. A clean heart in rightstanding with God is a product of being “born from above”. A new nature (born from above) allows God in Heaven
to come into the human heart .

Isreal then had to be born from above. Believers today have to be born from above . The inner work of God made man eligible enter God’s Kingdom on Earth.

Appreciate your stance for the truth of God’s Word. People need to hear the truth, especially in these latter days when some are perverting the Gospel and misleading souls straight into the pits of Hell.

The Spirit of God is behind your ministry. You’re doing a good work preaching. Do you do it at the homecourt?

Yes, today is the day of salvation. If you will hear His Voice, and open the door, He will come in and sup with you. Take that opportunity while there is time for you. Too soon it will be past and then comes His judgment. Today you judge Him – is He your Saviour? Tomorrow it will be His turn – Enter into the joys of the Lord or forever go to hell. Hear His Voice of love.
