Attitude – Forgiveness (7)
Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:31,32
Watch it folks, if we do not forgive we shall end up bitter, wrathful, angry, clamorous and evil speaking. Who would be your friend then and what would your reputation be like? Not that of a child of God.
We need to be kind, tenderhearted and only then can we forgive as Christ forgave us. Let us learn and purpose to be like Christ.
Every time I have been wrathful, angry, clamourous and evil speaking I have felt ashamed afterwards because my conscience tells me that I am not going the God-way but I am leaning towards destuction of self, others and my relationship with God. I have to quit those attitudes quickly. I have to resist them. I have to not forget that I displease the Lord when I exhibit those behaviour and pray that with His strength I can become kind, tenderhearted and forgive whoever I have felt those feelings for.
May the Lord help us understand why we need to forgive, the end of unforgiveness and why we cannot remain in unforgiveness.
Dear Lord, please forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. Help us Lord, we cannot forgive without Your help. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
If I have wounded some poor soul today,
If I have caused one foot to go astray,
If I have walked in my own willful way,
Dear Lord, forgive.
If I have uttered idle words in vain,
If I have turned aside from want or pain,
Lest I offend some other through the strain,
Dear Lord, forgive.
Forgive these sins I have confessed to Thee,
Forgive the secret sins I do not see,
Guide me, love me and my keeper be,
Dear Lord, forgive…

This series Small Things, Great Impact is to identify everyday seemingly little things which have great impact on my life. Perhaps nobody but I and the Lord kinow about them. They have their rewards or denials. I am sharing with hope to help someone weaker in the Christian life and to improve if others have more to share from their beliefs and experience.
