You can make a choice not to be cowed by the enemy.
You need to focus on God UNRELENTLESSLY and not yo-yo back and forth between God and self. When you focus on your weak self that is when the enemy takes advantage of you.
I Peter 5:8 Be sober be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
You are in a war against the enemy. You have to be disciplined and strategic in your fight not willy, nilly. When you know the attack is coming
1. Choose to fight. Dont choose the way of sinners/unbelievers which is to give in to the enemy and bear with it. You DONT belong to the enemy. YOU BELONG to God.
2. Call on God your Lord and Saviour and submit to Him. Ask Him to cleanse you and cover you with His precious blood – seek protection and covering under the blood of Jesus.
James 4: verse 7a Submit yourself therefore to God.
3. Resist the enemy and he will flee from you – that is what the Word says. Repeatedly resist the enemy in faith in Jesus Christ.
“In the Name of Jesus I command you spirit of depression to leave me right now. In the authority of Jesus I bind you and command you to loosen your hold on me. I condemn you to hell never to return again. I take authority over you in Jesus’ Name. Go and return no more. I reject you.I resist you. I will not succumb to you nor your wishes nor your lies to make me depressed. I claim victory over you in Jesus Name. You have no more authority over me. I belong to God, a son of God who is my Protector and Strong Tower forevermore. I belong to God whose I am and who is my Salvation. In Jesus Name. Amen”
The enemy has to flee in the Name of Jesus for the Name of Jesus is above every name and every knee shall bow to that Name.. Resist in the Name of Jesus.
James 4 : 7b Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Draw nigh to God, and He will draw night to you. 9 Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double-minded. 10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord and He shall lift you up.

Verse 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
Verse 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of the Father.
4 Ask the Holy Spirit raise a standard against the enemy :
“Blessed Holy Spirit I ask that you raise a standard against the enemy and give me Your protection from now on. I want to stand behind You. Please fight the battle for me. Please take control I ask in Jesus Name. Amen.”
Isaiah 59:19 So shall they fear the name of the Lord ..When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spiriti of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.
If you are really serious of being delivered, don’t rant and rave.. ask the Lord to quieten you down because the more you struggle the more out of control you get and the devil will attack to keep you down – that is his purpose – call his bluff! Acknowledge with all your heart that the Lord is God and is control of the situation and that you NEED Him to take control of you and the situation. .
5. Stay quiet and soak in the peace of God.
Lord I accept your peace.. Thank for peace Lord Jesus.
I speak peace to my body, soul and spirit in the Name of Jesus.
I thank You Lord for Your peace that quietens me in Your presence.
Read His Word loudly and thank Him repeatedly after every verse.
Revel in His presence. for He is near.

Verse 8 they are brought down and fallen; but we are risen and stand upright.
Proverbs 18:10 The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.
6 Ask the Lord for forgiveness and cleansing, strength and power, victory over defeat in life and renewal of your mind.
“Dear Father in heaven, please forgive me for being angry with You and for blaming You for my condition. Lord, please forgive me for my pride, for my ignorance. Now I know that You love me and according to Your Word, you have a plan for my life – a plan to prosper and not to harm me. I want You to fulfil Your plan in my life. So help me God to rely on You, to trust You with all my heart. Erase all that is wrong and a lie which the enemy has put into my mind. Cleanse me and my mind. Give me Your thoughts.
Cleanse me O God and teach me thy ways and the way I should go. Let me not depart from Thy truths and help me not to wander into temptation but draw me to Yourself. Thank You Lord for your forgiveness. I accept it and with Your forgiveness I am no longer condemned by the lies of the enemy. Thank You Father for freedom and victory in You. I can claim Your victory in my life for every moment, every minute, every hour, every day twenty four hours a day and for the rest of my life. Thank You Jesus for You have victory which I can have in You. I accept Your victory in my life and don’t want to live in defeat anymore. I want to live above the world and its temptations in Your strength. So help me to live in Your strength and power. I accept Your strength and power. I accept a new life in Jesus.

By living according to your Word. 105 Your Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light for my path. 106 I have taken an oath and confirmed it, that I will follow Your righteous laws. 107 I have suffered much; preserve my life, O Lord, according to Your Word. 108 Accept , O Lord, the willing praise of my mouth, and teach me your laws. 109 Though I constantly take my life in my hands, I will not forget Your law. 110 The wicked have set a snare for me, but I have not strayed from your precepts. 111 Your statutes are my heritage forever; they are the joy of my heart. 112 My heart is set on keeping your decrees to the very end.

You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found of you.” Declares the Lord
7. Ask the Lord to help you forgive all those who have wronged you and who you blame for your sickness as He forgives you as you forgive those who have wronged against you.
“Father in heaven, I come humbly before you seeking the fullness of your forgiveness which according to the Prayer you taught Your disciples, must include my forgiveness of those who have wronged me.
Lord, I pray that you will help me forgive
– My father for dying so early
– My father and mother for giving birth to me
– My mother for her sickness which I think has been passed to me and all the sins she has committed against me
– My counselors and social workers who have not understood me and have treated me with no respect or care
– My doctors who have not treated me wisely
– My friends who have made fun of me or just not cared
– My pastor or fellow believers who have not cared enough for me to teach me your word and show me the way of deliverance.
In the Name of Jesus I want to be released of the grudges and unforgiveness I hold against them. Lord I release them to You and I forgive them and bless them. Lord cleanse my mind from all grudges and renew my mind. Fill my heart with Your love to overflowing and help me love each one of those I have forgiven in Your Name. Let me see their positive goodness and love and help me to be kind one to another, tender hearted and forgiving one another. Please Lord take away the anger that is my heart and fill it with Your love. Please Lord take away the feeling of unworthiness in my heart and let Your Spirit affirm as witness that I am Your son.
