Click a Blessing Today – Have you called on Him?

There are many who have spent Christmas in the glare of shining lights, in discos and in the revelry of the world with wine, women and song. They have missed the blessing of Christmas, they have missed the one true meaning of Christmas that Jesus Christ came as a babe in Bethlehem to be with man, each one of us.

The fact is He came to dwell among us. The more important fact is, does He dwell in you?

It is so easy to say yes Jesus came. Yes, Jesus is alive. It is another thing to realize that He came for you and me. Yes for you and me personally. He wants to walk and talk with you if you have not called on Him. He will only talk and walk with you if you call on Him. Have you called on Him to be your Saviour, your Counsellor, your Prince of peace?

Do you know the joy of the Lord as your strength that it will outlast all the trials and temptations which you may face in this life?

Do you know that as His child you can call on Him at any time? Recently I had a fall. It was a surprise which happened in a dark and lonely basement car park. I had no one to call on but the Lord. He was there and prevented serious injury. He never slumbers or sleeps.

When you are in pain and no one else feels your pain. He who was the Saviour of the world suffered the most pain with the load of the sins of the world on His shoulders. Is your pain stronger than His? He knows your pain and will carry you through if you call on Him.

When you are in despair, call on Him. He called on His Father when He despaired..”not my will but thine be done”.. He cried and so we can today call out to Him,  “Not my will, but thine be done.” When we call, we submit to His will, and it opens the door for His hope to come into our lives. The hope of His abundant life. We may fall but He lifts us up by His Spirit for it is not by might, nor by power, but by His Spirit that He does it.

When friends or family forsake us, He is there. Yes the Friend of sinners, is there to help you endure the separation. There is nothing or such separation compared to the separation He suffered when He died on the cross and was separated in death temporarily from the Father. He knows your pain and loneliness.

Friend what is your greatest need today? He left heaven’s glory to meet your need for a Saviour to lead you in your life in the way you should go. There is a way that is broad which leads to destruction, but He wants to lead you to life everlasting, the narrow road which a few tread , to everlasting life.

He wants, He loves and He gave that you might win life, life abundant. Call on Him today. You need to for without Him you are nothing. Without Him you are going to fail. Without Him life is a burden and a chore… to the very end when death stares you in  your face and requires an accountability from you. What you have been given, are your talents hidden in the ground? or made of wood, stubble and hay?  or are they made not of silver or gold but what He has given to you of mercy, love and joy?

Proverbs 14:12 states “There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.”

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat. Matthew 713

Be sure to call out to Him. For He came to forgive you of your sins and to reside in you as the Holy Spirit, to guide your footsteps aright. Call unto Him today and realise the true Christmas hope come flooding into your life.
