The One

My eyes are afire; they gaze heavenward in expectation.                                                               I look at heaven, and see what is not open to mortal eyes.                                                           Mine eyes behold the beauty of God’s realm.

The eyes of my heart see well; the beauty of the glorious heavens unveiled.                              The throne room of God, in its’ majesty and glory.                                                                       One seated on the throne, as if having been there for eternity past.

Surely One has been upon the throne of eternity; surely One has been and always will be.                                                                                                                                                           One who thinks; and it is done, One who asks not, but receives His due.                                    Surely this Wonderful One; will exist forever more, never leaving, always seeing.

One has been; will always be, was before, will be now, has never left, will always rule.            This One, knows all, not one has instructed the One, not one has shared their wisdom with the One.

One sees all; sees all thoughts of every creature and being, sees all things at all times.           One has made all; all of creation answers His call, every heart knows His Name.

Not one in creation can contend with Him.                                                                                  Not one in any place or time has bested Him.                                                                             Not one can be found, found to be His equal.

Surely this One, can save us from sin.                                                                                           Surely this One, is the Savior of man.

Surely this One is Father over all.                                                                                               Surely this One, is Father of the Son.                                                                                           Surely this One, sends forth the Holy Spirit.

The One is God, enthroned forever in glory.                                                                                   The One is our God, for could another be?                                                                                    The One is our salvation, for no other Name will suffice.

By His grace, the grace of the One…we are born again.                                                        Through His grace, we are made anew.                                                                                     Because of His grace, we have life everlasting, never to die.

Because of the love of the One, we love.                                                                                   Because He loved and does love, we can love others.                                                         Because the One is love, we can rest in that love.

You may know the One, I hope you do.                                                                                          You may know the One, that great Shepherd of the sheep.                                                        You may know the One, the Maker of man.

You may know the One, the Redeemer of man.

Do you know the One?

  1. Yes, I know Him; I love Him; I delight to serve Him; I look forward to the time when Christ comes for us and we will be forever with Him, the three-in-one, only One.

    What an awesome God!

Oh, dear brother writinggomer, YES, I know The One! These lines especially jumped out at me:
“One sees all; sees all thoughts of every creature and being, sees all things at all times. One has made all; all of creation answers His call, every heart knows His Name.” All of creation answering Him and every heart fully knowing His name, because He calls each of us by our very own names! How way-beyond-glorious! Hallelujah!

What a creative way of defining God in His relationship with us. Very inspirational.

Getting beyond Calvary into the Throneroom is a good place to be. Live in the present tense with the power of an enthroned Christ behind you. Then you can go through life with the attitude, I have a good wife, a good church, and a living Christ. “I’ve got it made”…

This was intended to be more along the lines of poetic, not completely literal, hence the past tense. I am in the present tense, but this was simple artistic expression that does represent biblical belief. There is also present tense here as well.
Thank you for reading and commenting Pastor Rick. 🙂

Yes, I know Him, the Greatest – Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent.
Yes, I know Him, My Saviour, my Lord of lords and my King of kings to whom all knees will bow to in heaven, on the earth and under the earth
Yes, I know Him, my Comforter, Guide, Defender and Teacher!
Praise God we know the same wonderful God who loves us more than we can ever say.
Thank you writinggomer for sharing your vision of our wonderful God.
