Homosexuality is erotic activity or  [lustful] desire for a member of the same sex. This stronghold is not greater, or less than, any other stronghold. All sin leads to death.

Malice and slander lead to death, pornography and adultery lead to death, arrogance leads to death, bitterness and gossip lead to death–all sin leads to death. Is that clear?

Neither someone practicing homosexuality, nor an adulterer, nor a liar, nor an idol worshiper, nor an abuser, nor a thief, nor any wickedness will be allowed in the Kingdom.

Our society has glorified the stronghold of homosexuality and has singled it out as an alternative lifestyle. But God does not. Men and women in the rebellion of homosexuality strive for identity and justification.

The justification of homosexuality, or any other sinful act, according to the word, leads to separation from God and His blessings toward us. In other words, death.

Anyone who is violent or abusive toward a sinner [including homosexuals] is also committing a sin. A sinner has no more or less right to the Kingdom of God and His blessings no matter what the degree of sin.

Who then can be saved?

Lord, light my path.

5 Biblical tips to overcome homosexuality:

1. Receive Christ. There is no other way to be saved.

Romans 5:21 As sin ruled by bringing death, God’s kindness would rule by bringing us his approval. This results in our living forever because of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Acts 4:12 There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.”

2. Turn from your sin. Hunger instead for God’s word and His will in your life. He will reward your efforts.

1 John 3:6 Anyone who continues to live in him [Christ Jesus] will not sin. But anyone who keeps on sinning does not know him or understand who he is.

Matthew 5:6 Blessed and fortunate and happy and spiritually prosperous (in that state in which the born-again child of God enjoys His favor and salvation) are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness (uprightness and right standing with God), for they shall be completely satisfied!

1 Peter 3:14 But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it. So don’t worry or be afraid of their threats.

3. Pray for peace in your life. Pray that God will give you His strength.

Hebrews 10:26 Dear friends, if we deliberately continue sinning after we have received knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice that will cover these sins.

Psalm 68:35 God, the God of Israel, is awe-inspiring in his holy place. He gives strength and power to his people. Thanks be to God!

4. Get an accountability partner. Someone who overcame a homosexual lifestyle or the sin of homophobia. Common Myths About Homosexuality

5. Trust God’s word and His sacrifice for you through Jesus Christ.

John 5:24 “I tell you the truth, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.
