Free from the Stronghold of Oppression

Free from the Stronghold of Oppression
Written by Christian author, Pola Muzyka

Unlike depression, which is a stronghold that sets root inside of us, oppression is a stronghold that is forced on us from the outside. When we take this stronghold inside it can invite depression and many other demonsinto our life.

It is next to impossible to avoid this stronghold. But it is possible to overcome it and free ourselves from it. We must refuse to allow it to set up a dominion in our lives.

Other demons can oppress alone. But this demon needs company. It is a granddaddy of many. In order for its stronghold to last, it must grow. Oppression is bold. It will even cross generations, societies, or boundaries in order to take hold. It wants its hold to be so strong that its victims are paralyzed with fear and are resolved to accept their fate — its dominance in their lives.

The Hitler regime was an oppressive stronghold. The oppression of Hitler brought legions that came through one man. Today, another oppressive stronghold, is trying to set itself up over us by denying the devastation the Hitler regime caused on God’s people.  We can’t deny what we know. This stronghold needs to use other strongholds in order to win its agenda. Be on the alert.

Biblical tips to overcome the stronghold of oppression:

1. Be alert and recognize this stronghold. Oppression comes at us from the outside. Other names for this stronghold are tyranny, despotism, or persecution. It can cause hardship, or suffering. It can be brought on by a group, ideology, or person.

1 Peter 5:8 Keep your mind clear, and be alert. Your opponent the devil is prowling around like a roaring lion as he looks for someone to devour.

Ephesians 1:17-18 For I always pray to] the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation [of insight into mysteries and secrets] in the [deep and intimate] knowledge of Him,    18By having the eyes of your heart flooded with light, so that you can know and understand the hope to which He has called you, and how rich is His glorious inheritance in the saints (His set-apart ones),

2. Know that Jesus gave you authority over oppression.

Luke 10:19-20 I have given you the authority to trample snakes and scorpions and to destroy the enemy’s power. Nothing will hurt you. 20However, don’t be happy that evil spirits obey you. Be happy that your names are written in heaven.”

3. Speak up. Use your authority. If we are to break or defeat any stronghold in our lives we absolutely must have a voice.

Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life].

4. Pray. God answers our prayers. He has promised to answer the prayers of the humble and those who love him. Don’t stop praying against oppression.

Luke 18:1 ALSO [Jesus] told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not to turn coward (faint, lose heart, and give up).

2 Chronicles 7:14 14However, if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray, search for me, and turn from their evil ways,  then I will hear their prayer from heaven, forgive their sins, and heal their country.

Recently, I have been participating in online petitions and movements, such as CryOne and others, that allow me to SPEAK UP against oppression of various sorts. I have found this to be wonderfully freeing–and effective!

I recently inserted some comments about Jonah into one or my posts, and then talked about those comments with some guys that I was doing bible study with. The leader refused to hear anything outside of what he had learned of Jonah from church school. I pointed out that Jonah hated the Ninevites, and was willing to kill himself rather than bring them a message of mercy.

God was merciful to them upon seeing their repentance, but how does that explain Jonah’s hatred. I had never heard anyone talk about that aspect, and suddenly, over the last couple of months, through several paths it takes on a new meaning to at least me. Oppression. You said it, oppression was Hitler regime, and history is very clear that this was the theme of the Ninevite regime as well. Take this oppression one step further, and you will find terrorism at it’s base.

Terrorism changes the way you think, act, and talk. If I terrorize you, convincing you that you are in grave danger if you move against me, then you will begin to believe that the situation is hopeless, and you will be frozen, afraid to act, and become compliant with the most ridiculous of demands. Wrong will become right, because the terrorist says so (the oppressor.)
Nineveh was the Assyrians. They were destroyed, but not all, and the bottom line, it is a spirit. You might even say, it is a spirit of anti-Christ.

Nineveh was based near the city of Mosul in Iraq. Mosul was one of the worst battle grounds we fought in, while in Iraq. Archeologist have dug up the remains from two large mounds, almost hills. Everyone around there was aware of them.

The Assyrians were the Persian empire, plain and simple. Who are the Persians? Todays Iran, but not just Iran, remember we are dealing with an oppressive spirit of terrorism. That spirit lives on under the guise of Islam. Our anti-Christ will come out of Islam; the false prophet, that Islam awaits, will be a Jewish priest converted to Islam. This Jewish/Muslim priest will perform all the outstading signs and wonders that not only Jesus performed, but the prophets as well. He will deceive many, and cause them to convert. Why? Oppression.

Get yourself a copy ot the Harbinger by Jonathon Cahn. It’s a good read, based in history, prophecy, and he lays this stuff out in a captivating manner.

The call has gone forth. I am heeding the call, and attempting to act as watchman upon the wall, and blowing the shofar as loudly as I can. I will not have America’s blood on my hands. Your post this day has moved you into that position.
