When Political Correctness Becomes Public Policy

Heaven forbid we should ever offend anyone or make them uncomfortable. Everywhere we turn, societal pressures are to NEVER, EVER do so. This is called “political correctness” or PC.

We can bend these PC rules somewhat with our friends, you know, those few close people who have our backs, with whom we can communicate openly. We can be open and honest with our real friends and retain their friendship and understanding… their love.

We find PC-ness impinging on everything in our public lives and much in our private lives. It occurs to the point where we must ignore obvious truth. As Christians, we must follow so many rules implemented because of political correctness. Our society and culture erode as a result. Our religious and national heritage is debased.

Now we have political correctness taking a center stage in international relations. In doing so, we are abandoning a friend of the United States… the Nation of Israel. Our national policies work so hard not to offend the very people who would destroy this nation and all that it stands for. We can’t offend the leaders of Iran for example. We can talk tough, but when it comes to choosing between our friends and our enemies, the friends seem to be being abandoned.

History has shown this time and again. Israel (or Judah) was befriended and then abandoned based on the whims of political expediency. The last few chapters of the Book of Jeremiah then tell of the destruction of those nations that abandoned the Jewish people. The historical record is so very clear.

What’s in store for us?

I think I reread Revelation.

PC carried to the extreme of abandoning Israel is a very, very bad move, indeed! What happens to those who do is foretold in Revelations, for sure!

I just finished reading Acts 5 and then read your post! Talk about confirmation! I love how the apostles responded to threats and intimidation due to their spoken witness. (Acts 5:40-42).

  3. Political Correctness is one of the worst policies ever implemented by governments and here in Australia it seems it is in one direction only. Never say anything against Muslim and other religions or do anything that might offend their people, so remove all Christian signs, symbols and talk. On the other hand, it is OK for other religions to push their belief and to belittle and rubbish the Christian belief. Makes sense? Not!

America’s stand regarding Israel can’t be understood and neither can their ‘support’ of an ‘enemy’.

    Sign of the times?
    We are a day closer.

God bless you for this post and you are so correct by saying:
