Faith Child – Pain! I’m still sensitive praise the LORD!!!

Feel the Pain

Faith Child, pain is inescapable in living, and serving our Lord. The ability to experience pain is essential for protection from injury, and recognition of the presence of injury. Pain suffered by Faith Child as a Christian, will also enable empathy for others in the same situation, and evoke the compassion which Christ who understood pain, exemplified.

In the excitement of sport or war: a soldier on the battlefield may feel no pain for many hours from a traumatic amputation or other severe injury. Morphine injection or psychosurgery may take away the unpleasantness of pain. Some people with acquired damage to nerves e.g. spinal cord injury,  diabetes neuropathy, or leprosy risk tissue damage due to undiscovered inability to feel pain. People  with an inborn abnormality of the nervous system, known as “congenital” incur carelessly repeated damage to their tongue, eyes, joints, skin, and muscles with a reduced life expectancy because of their insensitivity to pain.

What a comfort the word of God is to someone experiencing pain. Whether it be physical pain or emotional pain, the word of God is a comfort for those that truly seek wisdom. Are you experiencing some type of pain in your life today? I encourage you to read through these Bible verses, after praying and asking God to use them to give you peace.

Here is comfort He is with you

Psalm 18:2 The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
Psalm 34:18 The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.

We know Jesus Himself suffered pain and should we be spared?

Hebrews 2:18 For because he himself has suffered when tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.

Pain has been the awakening call to repentance

2 Corinthians 7:9-10 As it is, I rejoice, not because you were grieved, but because you were grieved into repenting. For you felt a godly grief, so that you suffered no loss through us. For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas worldly grief produces death.

Despite present pain, there will be no pain after death for Faith Child

Revelation 22:4-5 They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever.

St Paul’s view was pragmatic and will benefit the Faith Child who adopts it:

Romans 8:18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.

Job’s perspectives were:

Job 1:21 And he said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.”
Job 6:10 This would be my comfort; I would even exult in pain unsparing, for I have not denied the words of the Holy One.

The Lord give you strength.  He is faithful.

1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
1 Peter 5:9-10 Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

I pray these Bible verses about pain were helpful to you today.

Whatever pain we experience, let us choose to draw closer to the Lord and to brothers and sisters, so that not only will we receive support and comfort in our pain, we will turnaround and empathize with those in pain giving them encouragement and comfort too.

It is marvellous that the Lord has made us sensitive people, to appreciate that we need Him and one another in this journey of life. He was our example for us.  He must have felt the deep pain in other’s lives, which drew His compassionate response. So may we in the love of God and to His glory.

Let us not indulge in self-pity in our pain, but suffer positively, growing stronger and more sensitive to Him and others. It  is a privilege  to be chosen to become more like Him.

From choruses Faith Child loves:

Keep me true Lord Jesus,
Keep me true,
Keep me true Lord Jesus
Keep me true,
There’s a race that I must run,
There are victories to be won
Give me power every hour to be true.
Love, joy, peace, and patience too
Grow in those who trust in You
All who put their hope in Christ
Kindness, goodness, faithfulness
Self-control and gentleness
Live in those who have new life
I want to be like Jesus
To walk and talk like Jesus
I want to live like one who follows Him
I want to love like Jesus
To give my all like Jesus
I want to live like one who follows Him
I don’t always do what’s right
Jesus lived a perfect life
And for sins like mine He died
Teach me to obey Your Word
Help me to put others first
Holy Spirit, change my life
Make me a blessing, make me a blessing
Out of my life may Jesus shine
Make me a blessing, make me a blessing
To someone I pray
Make ma a blessing to someone today.
In His strength and by His grace we(the Lord, you and me)  despite pain, shall make it to the end together. Amen.

What an enormous privilege we have to be His ambassadors and co-workers in the continuation of His work.

    What an amazing God!
