Have Heart Knowledge

“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.” I Peter 3:15-16

This world is full of those that would have Christians turn away from Jesus, or stop one from believing in the first place.

We have people that don’t believe in God.

And people that believe we are all gods.

And people that believe we can get to heaven on our own without a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

But …

The Bible makes it clear that there is One True God that created everything.

The Bible makes it clear that man is human and not a god.

The Bible makes it clear that Jesus is the ONLY WAY to heaven.

There are people that want to destroy one’s belief in God and Jesus Christ, and who will be very persuasive in their arguments.

Do you know what you believe?

Are you grounded in God’s Word, so that you can answer their arguments and face their persuasion immovable?

Knowledge of God’s Word will strengthen your faith and give you the understanding to fight against deception and error. Knowledge of God’s Word will give you confidence during testing and will give you strength against uncertainty and fear.

Do you have that knowledge?

Do you know God’s Word?

If not, then read it, learn it, grow in it; so that when questioned you will have Biblical support for your beliefs.

Then mix that knowledge with godliness, love, mercy and grace.

Having knowledge just for the sake of having knowledge can develop intolerance, divisiveness, and arrogance in our hearts. It must be tempered with mercy, discernment and love toward others.

Have heart knowledge, not just head knowledge.

  1. Amen! It is more important now than ever that we not only answer those who would ask, but that we seek opportunities to speak of our Saviour, depending on the guidance of Holy Spirit.

    Time is running out.
    We are one day closer!

    • Yes, we are indeed one day closer and I feel the urgency growing to reach out to the lost. Praying that we all step out in faith and do the Father’s work while there is still time.
