His Word Stands Forever

Isaiah 40 8

In the United States, spring is just around the corner. After a long and cold winter, we look forward to sunshine and flowers. Pretty soon the buds will burst open on the bushes and trees. The fragrant aroma of fresh flowers will fill the air and add a splash of color to a landscape or a room. It is nice to enjoy the flowers–while you can. They are here today and gone tomorrow.

Pretty soon people will also put away the snow blowers and replace them with lawn mowers. The sparkly white snow will melt away and out will grow lush green grass. It looks so pretty in early spring in the parks and in front yards. By late summer it often withers in the sun and gets brown patches without a constant supply of water. The grass is wonderful for picnics and play, but with the changing seasons it will soon fade away.

What a blessing and comfort it is to know that that the Bible never changes! It will not disappear. The promises within will never be broken. Prophesies yet to come will be fulfilled. People may disappoint, but God will always be faithful and His love for us remains the same. Our salvation is secure and the hope of Eternity still lives on for mankind. Praise the Lord that the word of God will stand forever!

  1. So true. We see constant changes in every area of life, but the one certainty we have is the TRUTH and the CERTAINTY of God’s Word, along with the never-changing God Himself, who loves us with an everlasting love and gave Himself for us.

    There is a treasure,
    Rich beyond measure,
    Offered to mortals today.
    Some folks despise it,
    Some criticise it,
    Some would explain it away.

    Some never read it,
    Some never heed it,
    Some say it’s long had its day.
    Some people prize it
    And he who tries it
    Finds it his comfort and stay.

    God gave this treasure,
    Rich beyond measure
    His Word we call it today
    Let us believe it,
    Gladly receive it
    Read, mark, and learn to obey.

    Lovely picture.

    Genesis 8:22

    “While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.”

    Glad that I live am I;
    That the sky is blue;
    Glad for the country lanes,
    And the fall of dew.

    After the sun, the rain,
    After the rain the sun;
    This is the way of life,
    Till the work be done.

    All that we need to do,
    Be we low or high,
    Is to see that we grow,
    Nearer to God on high.

    Psalm 16:11
    New American Standard Bible (NASB)
    11 You will make known to me the path of life;
    In Your presence is fullness of joy;
    In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.

    Praise The Lord! Amen.
