“Not my will” Jesus said
The Son of God, said Not my will
He was man when He said Not my will
When He faced death.
So must we say ” not my will”
When we face death to self
As we respond to His call
To follow Him.
He carried His cross
And in His submission
Gave up his mother, his friends
And all He loved at the age of thirty three.
And so must we carry our cross
even if it takes us overseas to work and live
To leave all whom we love and miss
And to pursue a higher goal as He did.
To be born, to live, to die
To be God’s love, to give God’s love
To show God’s love to undeserving sinners
So they be reconciled to GOD THROUGH JESUS CHRIST.
To submit to the will of God meant not only death
For He rose again, overcoming the sting of death
To live evermore on the right hand of God the Father
Interceding for His own.
May we be possessed of His new life, with sins forgiven
Arise to live for Him in ways and strength He gives
To show the world that because He lives we can face tomorrow
Because He lives all fear is gone for we know He holds tomorrow.
Let us intercede for loved ones far away from Jesus Christ
Our everloving Saviour, who knocks at every heart
To bring forgiveness of sins and abundant life
Of joy and gladness and His ever abiding Presence.
Let us be faithful and to our mission be true
Resting on His precious Word, in faith to go forth
With hope of evidence not yet fully seen, yet very true
For we shall soon become like Hin in the image of Christ.
And we shall behold Him as He takes us home
Through our physical death or through the rapture
Through the streets of gold in His kingdom
To ever praise and glorify Him – Father, Son and Holy Spirit
Face to face, and we shall behold Him
In His kingdom, with all the power, and the glory
Forever, and forever, our Saviour and Lord
King of kings and Lord of lords, AMEN !
