CC, taken from the archives of John Piper, compiles this list of Scriptural prayers. She encourages, “To pray what the Bible says is a safe and powerful way to pray.” So, what are you praying for today?

That God would exalt His name in the world (through us).

That God would extend His kingdom in the world (through us).
That the gospel would speed ahead and be honored through us.
For the fullness of the Holy Spirit.
That God would vindicate His people in their cause.
    That God would save unbelievers.
That God would direct the use of the Word as the sword of the Spirit.
    For boldness in proclamation.
    For healing of wounded.
    For healing of unbelievers.
    For miraculous deliverance.
    For the supply of necessities.
    For wisdom.
    For leadership in new areas.
That laborers would be SENT OUT to harvest.
    For the success of missions.
    For unity and harmony.
    For the encouragement of togetherness.
    For a mind of discernment.
For the knowledge of His will.
    To know God better.
For the power to comprehend the love of Christ.
For a deeper sense of assured hope.
    For strength and endurance.
For a deeper sense of His power within us.
That our faith will not be destroyed.
    For greater faith.
That God would complete our good resolves.
That we would do good works.
How many of these can you identify and do you know where the prayer is found in the Bible? Can you think of others?
