HE LIFTS US UP– Poem: Overcoming the Nightmares Playing in my Head (Romans 8:31)

Nightmares playing in my head
of things my ex did and said.
Sleepless nights were plenty.
Bad dreams were so many.
Fearful of his stalking the night,
put alarms and a security light.
Now the dreams have faded away,
as time passes day by day.
But my peace came from above,
when God showed me His Love.
He wrapped His arms around me,
protecting and setting me free.
Yes, bad dreams still come…
with last night having some.
But God’s showing me I am stronger,
and not a victim any longer.
He has helped to overcome.
and a new person I’ve become.
For on His Word I stand,
protecting me from abusers hands.
My Peace comes from Thee,
I know that He is for me…
and if He is for me,
who can be against me.
(Romans 8:31)

GodswordsPrayer:  Lord, I pray for the peace and comfort that can only come from You to touch the broken all around this world, that they will find rest in Your loving arms and deliverance from the fears of their nights… In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Anyone who has been abused has had nightmares about it. But, I can tell you that God is the Key to overcoming your past…

We all have means of expression our emotions. It is the poet however who is given a particular gift. He is challenged… then accommodated by the Holy Spirit as she searches for words and innermost feelings that he (she) did not have the capacity to express,, but were a gift. We may look back and say; “Did I write that?.”. The answer often would be no. How wonder-full is that?
I heard His voice in your piece. Thank you, Milt

Thank you so much for your lovely comment. There are many times that I just say that I can’t take the credit for He gives me the words or that He co-authors it… That is why I was lead to be an “Award Free Blog”.. How can I take credit for something that is Divinely inspired.. I pray for His Divine inspiration every day for every post so that you so much for your comment for that is my goal… It’s His Blog and I am just His vessel. Thank you so much and blessings to you!!

Praise The Lord, when we get a touch from The Lord, He renews our mind too and He transforms us from being a loser to a winner. Praise God, nothing can daunt us especially if our trust is in The Lord for He is bigger than any fear that bugs us – any man, any thing, every imagination. He gives us the victory over all of them, in the Name of Jesus. Hallelujah!
