Teens Blog – New Creation

Hello Again!  What a blessing it is to “meet” with you again today. I look forward to spending time with you each Wednesday!  I would love to share one of the first verses of scripture that I memorized years ago.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; Old things have passed away; behold all things have become new.   2 Corinthians 5:17.

I’m so thankful that I hid that verse in my heart, because even years later, I still hold onto this verse and use it to remind myself that as a child of God, I have a new life.  I’ve been Redeemed!   I am a new creation!

As a teen, there are so many “Things” in this world that can steal your time and attention.  It is so easy to become distracted by the world and begin to believe all of the lies that Satan wants you to hear.   Whether you are a teen or an adult, we all face Peer Pressure. Everywhere you turn, society tells you to look at certain way, dress a certain way, or to act a certain way just to “fit in”.    Dear Friend… You were made to Stand Up for Christ… Not to “Fit in”.  If you are a child of the King, You too are a New Creation!  You are no longer defined by your past, and no longer live a life in bondage.

Refuse to “Fit in” today… Stand out!! You are a Beautiful New Creation!

O Lord, we would rather struggle with the world than with Thee. In our submission
And obedience grant us perfect peace this world cannot understand. In your will help us to stand up for you and dare to be a Daniel, dare to stand alone.
