HE LIFTS US UP: Exhausted? Just wait…

Exhausted? How many of us are exhausted by everything that we have to do in a day, the daily struggles of everyday life, and by the trials and tribulations of this world?
Emotional exhaustion, physical exhaustion, or both…

Things of this world can take a toll on each of us as we rush to do all of the things that we need to do. Just listening to the horrible news around the world can be exhausting. I can envision each of us piling more and more baggage on our shoulders and carrying it as we walk…But this is not what God wants us to do. He wants us to cast our cares upon Him. He wants us to “yoke” up with Him because His burdens are easy and His yoke is light. There are so many scriptures that I could quote for you to see what God tells us to do… but the one that I feel for me is the one that I will share with you today.
Isaiah 40:31 – “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint.”

You see, as we wait on the Lord, He will renew our strength…  He will help us to soar above the problems of this world… Because He is not of this world. As we rest in Him, not only does He “minister” to us but we “minister” to HIM. The Lord loves for us to spend time with Him, talking to Him, thanking Him, praising Him. We don’t need to be shouting or dancing or on public display. We can just be resting in His Presence, renewing our strength, and then be surprised how everything will be OK. This is the song for you to hear today… “FLY” by Joshua Mills with LaRue Howard:

When our tribulations get us down and our wounds are reopened, sometimes we just need to rest in the Lord for Him to renew our strength and continue healing us.

Praise The Lord when we come to the end of ourselves He is there – He has been waiting for us all the time.
