“It was like a tsunami. We escaped through the windows and I held on to a pole for about an hour as rain, seawater and wind swept through the airport. Some of my staff survived by clinging to trees. I prayed hard all throughout until the water subsided” (Tacloban Airport Manager Efren Nagrana , 47 )
Corpses hung from tree branches, or were scattered along pavement, and among flattened buildings. Grieving survivors searched for lost loved ones while looters raided stores and petrol stations in search of food, fuel and water.

We wish we could help everyone and we know we cannot. The Singapore Prime Minister Mr Lee Hsien Loong, said it ” The Philippines has always demonstrated resilience, in the face of adversity. I am confident that your people will pull together, and rebuild their lives. .. Our thoughts are with the people of the Philippines during this difficult time. ”
We will give.and continue to give in the days ahead… yet, we pray that the Filipinos will know that God has given more for each Filipino and is reaching out to people who will call on Him even in this most difficult time. There is a secret realm He wants you to enter – experience Him as your Comforter, Refuge and Strength and Provider. Try Him when you come to the end of yourself. He never fails.
Latest Update: Praise the Lord, the 3 Singaporeans have been found and are safe.
