I cry out for our country as I look around at the condition of our country compared to what the vision of our founding fathers was many years ago. Our constitution, money and everything made during those beginning years was based on God and Godly principles. This country was started with prayer to our Heavenly Father, not false gods. As we have allowed non-believers to take away prayer in schools and have remained silent as many have attempted to remove God from everything that our country stood for, we have watched as the conditions in our country have deteriorated.
More and more people are being wounded by the abuses of this world that are so rampant. Our people need healing. Our country needs healing. Our country needs restoration. Our entire world needs healing and restoration. We all need revival! Many years ago, a man walked the earth proclaiming, “Turn from your sins and turn to God because the Kingdom of Heaven is near.” (Matt. 3:1). As we look around at the disasters that are happening, the troubles that are brewing, and the tribulations that are occurring, we are seeing the signs of the times. We hear the same words spoken as John the Baptist cried out during his time. The Watchmen on the Wall are giving the warning. The earth is moaning. The people are crying out.
I pray for all of the people. I pray for this government and every government. I pray that eyes will be opened to see and ears will be opened to hear… God gave us a prayer for the healing of our land and I hope that many will join with me to pray today:
2 Chronicles 7:14 (NIV)
“ if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
Lord, please forgive us of our sins and heal our land… Please bless this country and this world. Turn hearts to You God!! Our freedom comes from you. Lord, please set the captives free…
Romans 8:21 – “ the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God.”
John 8:32 – “…and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
Galatians 5:1– “It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.”
