How many of us are “strangers in a strange land”?
Who is a stranger…
A stranger in a strange land?
Well lets look at scripture…
and see where we stand.
Abraham walked in faith…
with God, Hand in hand.
He was called a “stranger…
a stranger in a strange land”.
So does that make those,
who walk in total faith,
A “stranger in a strange land”,
Or is it still up to debate?
How many leave their homes,
jobs, and lives to obey,
When God says to just go,
and leave everything today?
How many start all over,
in a whole new land,
when God says to move,
and He will guide your hand.
How many totally trust God,
to provide for them everyday,
just walking step by step,
feeling God’s Presence on the way.
How many truly walk with God,
walking in faith, not by sight?
Feeling His guiding Presence,
not just following any light.
How many “believers”,
so totally trust and believe,
that they will walk by faith,
while the world is deceived.
God says, we may be in this world,
but are not of this world you see.
We are not to conform to this world,
but to be transformed to Thee.
So Abraham is an example,
of being a “stranger in a strange land”.
So only God knows who are His strangers,
totally walking in faith while holding His Hand.
Scriptures for today:
“Here I am, a stranger and a foreigner among you. (Genesis 23:4)
“The earth is the LORD’S, and all it contains, the world, and those who dwell in it.” (Psalm 24:1).
“We are all but tenants on God’s earth (Lev 25:23).”
“we are called to be in the world, but not of the world” (John 17:16)
“not to be conformed to this world, but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds (Romans 12:2).
