Today is the sixth day of “face down” recovery from a left eye operation on December 3, 2013 for repair of a macular hole.
I have spent several days praying for myself. What is the Lord’s purpose in this “face down” discipline ? It is a waste of time and is boring if I do not have purpose in waiting for my healing on face down, unable to do much else. I shall use my time wisely in drawing closer to the Lord, in meditating on His Word and interceding for others.
Living for Jesus
Think Others – yes, others in greater need, in greater pain – physically, emotionally, spiritually who need the Lord – their foundation for faith, their object of faith, their Saviour, their Refuge and Strength. Lord, there are many in Singapore, in the Philippines, in the USA, the Great Britain, in the Indian sub-continent, in the political maelstrom in Thailand and in Africa.
Lord help, we want to wait upon You and draw closer to You.
Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)
31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
As I wait on Thee may I rise like the eagles, run and not be weary, walk and not faint.
And Lord, let my prayers ascend to You in intercession t for those whose faith is so small they need a little help in prayer. I pray for compassion and recollection of those I know who are in helpless need of Your great love, they want to experience walking with You, they want to find You as their Refuge and Strength, they need You so they will not be weary, and faint. Manifest Your power in their lives, in their circumstance and over evil.
Lord, have mercy and draw them closer to You (as I remember each one You bring to my recall) as I lift them up in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
