When Jesus’ ministry began in Israel He was 30 years of age. Why? The Law of Moses required a man to be 30 years of age before he could minister in the Temple. Jesus’ ministry began with Israel – a backslidden nation. Jesus taught the Law of Moses to the letter – and this showed Israel their error from the true Word of God. What was the error? Israel had deviated from their Torah – and began practicing Talmudic teaching. Talmudic teaching began in 585 BC during Israel’s Babylonian captivity. Israel had fell into the mode of traditional Talmudic teaching which was termed by Jesus as, “the tradition of the elders”. This traditional teaching (without the ministration of God) caused Israel as a nation to become backslidden and unholy. The unholy heart caused Israel to not be able to recognize the actual person and Messiahship of Christ, the anointed One. Israel had deviated from the authority of the Torah. When Jesus came preaching the true authority of the Torah Israel’s cloak of sin and unholiness was revealed. Thus, Israel turned on Christ and hated Him for exposing their error and backslidden state.
John 15:22 KJV
King James Version
If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin.
