Valentine’s Day is a day of mixed emotions. There are those who celebrate with loved ones. Then there are those who are depressed or feeling lonely and rejected. I have a couple messages for today that I will share. But first…

A Message to Those Feeling Unloved…

I want you to understand that I have been there. I have felt that pain of a broken heart. I have felt that brokenness of rejection and failure. I have been told that no one would ever love me and I would always be alone. I have heard all the angry, hurtful words that can come out of an abusive mouth and the actions to accompany them; but then one day…

One day, as I was waking up and starting to make coffee, I heard a small still voice… a slow, beautifully sung song. The words were lingering, almost allowing me to feel His arms around me as I heard a song from my childhood…

“Roses are red, my love…
Violets are blue, uoooo…
Sugar is sweet, my love…
but not, as sweet, as you…”

Wow, in my sleepy haze, I realized that I had been serenaded by God. A song that I had not heard in years, and definitely, no man had ever sung to me, was being sung to me as I just stood there frozen and shocked. Though man told me that I was unloved and would always be alone, I felt the Presence of God as He serenaded me with a beautiful, simple love song from my youth.

So today, my message to you who feel that you are unloved is that God loves you. You are never alone. He will never leave you or forsake you. He gave up His only Son for all of us so that we would be saved and be with Him for eternity. He sang that song to me and I relay it to you… God loves you!!

I also want to share a message that I received in my brokenness that I felt God leading me to give today on Valentine’s Day. I want all to know that God loves us all and is always working behind the scenes for each of us.
