Faith Child – Can you rejoice no matter what happens?

imagessearchMy 91 year old dad wakes up feeling fine and praises the Lord for a new day UNTIL he opens his mouth to yawn or to speak,  and the pain in his  neck attacks and does not leave him for the rest of the day.  If he allows the pain to take control of his day, it will!  He becomes grouchy and nothing is right, everything is wrong. It will be a miserable day.

However, if my sister who lives nearby sends him a WhatsApp message on Family Chat which goes something like this -” Hi Dad! nothing is going to happen today which God will not allow. He knows your needs and will supply them. He is answering your prayer for healing and says He will be with you throughout this day. Draw strength from the Lord today and remember His grace is sufficient for you. Love from all of us!”

Let us see what happens when my dad receives the Chat message?

First he feels connected – not alone and forgotten. If you are someone like him needing a connection, you need not wait for someone to get in touch! You will achieve almost the same when you take the initiative and connect with a friend, Pastor or family member. Reach out and of course you will feel best when you connect with God.

(Note: Many in the video felt uncomfortable when CeCe asked them to reach out and touch someone – yes it is  not a  natural act – it is a choice for your good  and  other’s good and God knew that – He reached out to us while we were yet sinners.)

My  dad is reminded that the Lord is in control – there is nothing worse than to be in circumstances that are out of control. If you have this assurance that the Lord is in control,  perhaps you can share it with someone who is living alone or feeling alone. It is a reason to rejoice for not only is He in control, He has the power to change things for you.

My dad  is reminded that the Lord cares and will supply the needs for the day. When there is insecurity of provision, the old enemy steps in and asks a thousand doubting questions and before the morning is through, there is a totally beaten person – God cannot heal, provide and meet my needs. Will you help remind someone that the Lord is Jehovah Jireh? It will help you and him/her to rejoice whatever betide for He is the same, yesterday, today and tomorrow.

Where there is affirmation of faith, there is reason for rejoicing – how many of us need affirmation as we go along life’s way? As humans we forget what the Lord has done for us in days gone by and we forget His good plans for us. When we do remember, we are encouraged and have the tenacity of purpose to hang on and even rejoice in the Lord for the outcome will be good although it may not be good as we are going through the patches that inevitably come.

It is comforting to know one is not alone even when left in his room or on the hospital bed the whole day. Is there someone you can help today? phone call, a message, a smile just a wonderful Hi! could turn a person headed to an awful day to one who will be able to whistle while they go to work or even while they wait for treatment or rest and relax.

It is a choice for you to rejoice or to be led into a day that is not worth living. You choose and you can help someone else choose too with a nudge in the right direction.

SMILE and relax those strained face muscles yes! 🙂  God loves you.

GO ON AND REJOICE IN THE LORD – it will change the day for you as His Presence fills you to overflowing  and takes control! How refreshing – rejoicing – out of your belly will flow rivers of living water!

Rejoice and again I say rejoice.

Apostle Paul knew a secret not many who have bad attitudes or missing on His goodness, know

Paul  knew he could rejoice in the Presence of the Lord!

So can you my brother or sister.

Pain you are under control of my Jesus.

My God is Jehovah Jireh for me today!

Praise the Lord and rejoice!

I shall come forth as gold. Amen.
