Going Where They Do Not Know His Name

100_1072The privilege to travel and minister to the needs of our missionaries serving in the fields of their calling is a biblical and necessary task believers should pray diligently about, and if the Lord leads, do so promptly.

We call them short term missions for evident reasons, but in reality all followers of Jesus are on the one and only mission together.

Recently, a team from our church journeyed to the far away land known as Senegal Africa to support and encourage a family sent there to live among the Dioula people as carriers of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

I hope to share of this journey with you here at ChristianBlessings over the next few months. This was a life changing trip for our team. Our eyes were opened to the many needs in the world around us, both physical and spiritual. It is a desperately poor land with none of the luxuries we western dwellers take so often for granted, but the poverty of this people extends farther than their physical resources. This is a much darkened land where the name of Jesus is not known at all.

Please pray for me as I try to share these realities, but more importantly, pray for our friends who live and serve there, and for the people of Senegal who need to meet Jesus.
