HE LIFTS US UP: Change

You can’t change the past…
but leave the past in the past…
for the horror of the past does not have to last.

You can’t change your mate…
to this there is no debate…
but abuse does not need to remain your fate.

You can change what you hold onto…
for God who can make all things new…
so do you want the old you or new you?

You can change what you believe…
and to Who you cleave…
with God, blessings you will receive.

So change the life that you deplore…
Turn to God when you want more…
For He alone can make you soar.

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”      Romans 12:2

Thank you for your beautiful ministry!

  2. Wind beneath my wings is one of my favorite songs. God is my hero and everything I long to be. And you are right, just because your are hurt or traumatized, it doesn’t mean you have to remain that way. God always makes a way to set the captives free.

  4. Amen! Individually, Indivisibly, Inter-Spiritually and Indelibly…inked in His Book of Life. ~Zoey

Change is real and necessary. For salvation we must change our mind (repent) and agree that God’s way is better than our way. For Spiritual maturity we allow the Holy Spirit to change us as it is written: “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed [changed] by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” (Romans 12:2 KJV).

“It is well for us that, amidst all the variableness of life, there is One whom change cannot affect; One whose heart can never alter, and on whose brow mutability can make no furrows.” ~ Charles Spurgeon
