Blessings within the Christian life

Christ has so much to offer.

  1. A heart made clean by the Grace of God
  2. A life made better because of contentment found in Christ

So many people are lost and undone in a pleasure mad, drug crazed, high pressure society where everything is acceptable. Drugs, sex, divorce, even sin in moderation fills the mindsets of many.

Example of moderate sin? Take a young man who starts drinking at the age of 14. Then at 20 his consumption increases to smother the stress of life. Then his income decreases and his alcohol consumption increases. At 35 he begins and affair and loses his wife. Consumption increases more. At 40 he loses his job and on and on. At the end its him and his stress relief from alcohol. Moderation of sin led to major problems. Today that man lives on skid row and is homeless.

What a gradual deception that sin can produce! So confusing in relation to the ways of God. And the bad thing about this root of confusion is, its spreading like the plague in today’s society. The Devil loves it!

Only Christ can offer man what is truly needed. Only Christ can fulfill longing needs of the human soul in ways the world can never offer. The false contentment of sexual affairs and wild flings wear off at the end of the day. The temporal contentment of money and satisfaction from accumulation of wealth wears off. Life’s temporal achievements satisfy for a minute, “Then what?” What profiteth a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul? Nothing!

Satisfaction and contentment from Christ can be found and experienced.

Christ and the constant presence of His Spirit have so much to offer.  There is no other way that offers such a great blessing. There is no true life of contentment outside of Christ

  1. A heart made clean by the Grace of God produces blessing.
  2. A life made better because of contentment found in Christ produces blessing.

Christianity is a better life. Christ makes it better. Christ is a burden bearer. Christ is a problem solver. Get rid of worry and anxiety. Goodbye depression. Jesus has something I don’t have. Jesus gives hope. Jesus satisfies. Jesus loves me. Jesus will never let me down. Best life I’ve ever had! A clean heart is fruitful! He did it! He is my Savior! He is my helper! Can’t do it without Him. Satisfied! Content! Blessed! Blood bought. Property of God!

With sincerity,

About rickroehm

Since 1988 I’ve been writing and doing service for the Lord. It all began in 1987 after a personal walk began with the Lord. This personal walk with the Lord I speak of turned into extensive Bible studies and later evolved into blogging in early 2000. At present I write, author, and publish several different sites on the Internet. My Blogs contain a vast library of Theological writings, teaching videos, and preaching audios that currently go around the globe for the cause of Christ. I write at Christian Blessings on Wordpress, Holy Hubert Lindsey Group on Facebook, Churches on Trial at Google, publish You Tube videos, record sermons at holy.sermon.net, etc. I also pastor a Church called the Upper Room in Williamsburg, Ohio . My secular Blog called Southwestern Ohio Fishing on Wordpress is where I write about experiences with my son and fishing partner Chad where we together enjoy Mother Nature’s beauty mixed with Father God’s creation. At Southwestern Ohio Fishing Blog I also publish favorite recipes for those who enjoy eating and cooking as much as this writer does. Thanks for sharing your time and life with this writer at the Blogs. Here's more access to my ministry and fishing Blog if you'd care to check them out further. 1. I’ve always responded to people saying that being a Christian is hard… I say… “Being a follower of Christ is EASY compared tot he alternative living arrangements!” His will is perfect!

  2. ptl2010 says:

Praise God He satisfies the longing soul

Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, Psalm 107:8

  3. WOW!! I LOVE this! The last paragraph is so powerful. I especially love, “Jesus has something I don’t have.” Yes He does. Praise Him. Thank you for this post.
