Proverbs 4:20-22 KJV
20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health (medicine) to all their flesh.
Incline thine ear
Incline is to bend down. Incline our ear, bend our ear in inclining our head representing humility, teachability.
Don’t shake our heads – with doubt.
Who is Teacher and who is pupil? Let God teach us above our pre-conceptions. Give up prejudices – don’t measure God by human standards. God’s Word works only so far as it works . James 1:21 Be swift to hear, receive with meekness, lay aside naughtiness. Mark of naughty child is answering back. Don’t answer back. In humility accept God’s way and His truths which bless us. Don’t make God so small that He cannot help you.
