“A merry heart doeth good like a medicine:” [Proverbs 17:22(KJV)]

I had a great boss who had a wonderful sense of humor at work. It was a little box that sat upon her desk (which never seemed to be in the same place twice).  From time to time you could hear from a distance the muffled cries pleading to be LET OUT OF THE BOX! It was the funniest thing. It made us laugh out loud and in a quiet office -it seemed to amplify with each intensifying shout to let her OUT! We need humor in our life, it’s the breath of a cheerful heart, the chuckle that becomes contagious and encourages us to not take life so seriously at times.

Humor is an attribute of hope. Humor helps us to see a different perspective. It brings the ability to step back to refocus and it also energizes us. Laughter produces a hormone called Endorphins, this helps to heal and reduce stress. You feel good after a good belly laugh, right? We truly are wonderfully made and our God has an awesome sense of humor.

We are designed to laugh, to promote wellness in our being, image that! No wonder the devil works so hard at making our life so miserable, dissatisfying and lonely. But my friend, we have a ”little box” within each of us, that when tickled it can release wonderful laughter and burst of big smiles, loud gaffs, giggles and good times!

Give someone a smile today, it’s free and the returns are enumerable!!

The other mentioned benefits of humor are
    – Helps put life’s trials and tribulations into healthy perspective by making them seem smaller.
    – Aids us in overcoming fear.
    – Allows us to take ourselves less seriously.
    – Triggers our creativity
Humor ? Why not? I prefer it to paralyzing fear.
    Thanks Zoey .
