Do you always have a storm brewing in your heart? Is there anger burning? Is there grumbling? Is there torment that is the result of disappointment that your expectations are not being realized? Are you being driven by a guilty conscience and shame? Are you facing conflicts within?
Are storms of life ruling your mind and heart, or the peace of God which passes all understanding ruling?
Jesus said ” Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27
If your storms are occurring in your mind and heart within – you need to check who is the Pilot in your life.
I suffered a sudden squall today and on checking found that I had taken control unwittingly – what control? I was being tossed to and fro. I quickly relinquished con troll immediately to the Master of the seas, and there was peace again all round when I heard Him say through the storm ” peace be still” .
Are you frequently the centre of contention (not being persecuted for Christ but for a big ego)?
Are you the doubter and wet blanket in every improvement endeavor? It cannot be done says who?
Do you just run ahead without praying about it first?
Are you looking out for self alone with competitors brutally cut down?
Is there lack of confidence derived from over confidence in self?
Let the peace of God reign in your life.
Jesus and no other can still the storms in your heart and mind.
Let the peace of God fill your clean and trusting heart and drive all the storms away.
“so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky” Philippians 2:14
