Faith Child – Precious promises – are you keeping them?

searchWhen the Son of God left heaven’s glory, He promised His Father to give His life a ransom. He fulfilled it.

We have said farewells with promises too –

– to parents – to study hard, and to return with news of good success

– to a dying one – to keep up the good name of the family or to look after a beloved

– to live for Christ in a world darkened by sin

– to be faithful to write ever so often or to call  or to visit a loved one left behind at home or in a retirement or convalescing home.

Have you fulfilled your promises made when it was time for you to go away?

Jesus made a promise when He left for heaven’s glory after the resurrection .

He will keep it

In hope we know.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.  John 14:3

Thanks for this gentle reminder 🙂 Yes, it is really easy to say a promise, but to keep it is entirely a different thing. Especially when that promise is made for God (Ecclesiastes 5:4-5 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ecclesiastes+5%3A4-5&version=ESV) . We ought to pray also for strength and guidance to do what we say we will do.
    God bless everyone! 🙂
