IHS 27 – The developers

There are some people who see the potential in others. That vision of potential drives them to try and develop that potential and help people be more than they currently are. While some people want to see growth in large leaps, the developers are patient with growth. They can see small steps and when the developers see these steps in people they are motivated and energized.

The developers are able to show great patience with people when they are developing. This mightn’t be the case when they expect people to know better, but during the development phase when people are working and growing in an area they show potential, the developer will be able to tap into their patience.

They often get great satisfaction from seeing the growth in others, even when this is small. This means that often they are comfortable working with children or with the disabled. Sometimes this leads to ‘leaders’ seeing the developers as working with people who are low performers however a truly loving spiritual community will encourage development in all their people.

For some developers there is a potential to take too much responsibility for the growth of others. When this isn’t handled well the developer can be disappointed or down about others not growing and it can rob them of their energy.

The developers are often frustrated when they see wasted potential. This is mostly with people, but it can also be with a ministry, or business.

For those leading developers, it is important to trust and support the potential they see in others because the developers are talented in seeing potential when others may not be.
