Sin is a violation of God’s Law. Sin is an act or something committed against the holiness of God. The root of sinful conduct stems from the fallen nature of man. Thus, sin is and act and sin is the nature of man.
The difference between the act of sin and the inherited nature of sin is as follows. Sinful acts can be confessed and forgiven. The sinful nature of man cannot be confessed or forgiven. Therefore only the person of Jesus Christ can rid man of the root of sin…not man himself.
Sin is disobedience that can be forgiven but disobedience can be transformed to obedience when the Holy Spirit has full sway of man’s nature. God’s mercy does allows forgiveness to those who miss the mark but God’s Grace can give the child God enough power to stay true to Christ every day of his life.
Sin is not essential in the child of God. To as many as receive him to them he gives power. This power is the power to be holy in the eyes of God. Sin is unholiness and Jesus Christ can remove sin the same way He heals the sick. Sin has no dominion over the Lord Jesus Christ; nor over the child of God.
The acts of sin can be forgiven. The nature of sin can be eradicated.
The Bible defines sin and illustrates how men can be delivered from sin. The Bible is not a book of knowledge used to condone sin. The Bible is true accounts of how God condemns sin and proves man can live without sin (especially under Grace where the power of a living Christ prevails).
Jesus Christ can rid man of sin completely on this side of Heaven. Greater is Christ over a sin nature or sinful conduct.
Go and sin no more. Abstain from every appearance of evil. Be holy and without blame before Him in love. Sin has no dominion over a child of God. You’re bought with a price. Glorify God in your spirit. Keep a constant victory. Be God’s ownership.
