20 Things a Mother Should Tell Her Son

1 Samuel 1:27-28 (ESV)

27 For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition that I made to him.28 Therefore I have lent him to the Lord. As long as he lives, he is lent to the Lord.

And one more thing to teach and exemplify to your son, the most important thing:

Trust in the Lord in all you do, lean not unto your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him and he will set your paths straight. Proverbs 33:3-5

About setyourpathsstraight

It is my desire to serve God and others through writing; by proclaiming His goodness, provision and character in story form. Though I was not always a follower of Jesus Christ, I have experienced life changes that can only be a result of personally meeting Him. He is not a God of religion, but of relationship. I don't have the answers to life's challenges, but I know where to find them...only in God's Word can any of us stop following crooked paths. The month of my spiritual birthday, I read Proverbs 3:5-6 and claimed it as my life verse... "Trust in the Lord in all you do, lean not on your own understanding In all your ways acknowledge Him.... and He will Set Your Paths Straight." Thank you for your visit today. Please come back again.

  1. Yes. Agreed. That is why it is THE most important thing. Amen and amen

In terms of perspective I suggest trusting and seeking The Lord ranks above the 20 points, not a tail- end add-on. That is why many lives suffer and do not enjoy the full blessing of The Lord from the beginning. They suffer first then as last resort seek The Lord – that is second best. Putting God first may not be the most popular way of the world, but it is the best according to God’s Word.
