HE LIFTS US UP: Letting Go of Our Past

Letting go of our past…
is easier said than done.
But grabbing hold of God…
is when new lives have begun.
For it is only then…
that we can be free.
As we hold onto God…
and let His will be.
For He has plans for each…
for good and not harm.
And He will lead us to it…
as we hold onto His Arm.
So let go of your past…
and reach of your future today.
Trust God with your life…
and let Him lead your way.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11

Dear Lord, deliver us from the wounds of our past and the set us free from the bondage that holds us captive to it. Orchestrate our paths as we submit to You will for our lives for we know that our have plans for us for good not for harm, to give us a future and a hope. We praise You Lord for the blessings that you have in store for us as we walk into our future with You leading the way… in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Thank you for this post. I am going through a very difficult time right and what you wrote has given me hope tonight and a reminder that God will continue to carry me through.

    Hebrews 12:1-2King James Version (KJV)

1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
